As a marketing person who understand that parallel lines (new platform) are always better than more of the same, it is a little puzzling that Rolex don't produce this as a mainstream line it would be money for jam so to speak for them.

I have seen it in person and its hands down the best watch case I have seen. Far exceeds the 6k LV case as well as many other high end boxes.
Even though the Rolex box is awesome because its Rolex I would go with the B&Z it just doesn't get better in terms of quality and craftsmanship IMHO

David, I just looked at the website and some more pics and the B&Z just oozes class and the craftsmanship looks to be outstanding like you said. The price point although expensive, is a steal compared to the LV for sure.

I got this one for xmas...great value for the money. Using a couple of the slots for cufflinks, collar stays, etc and the rest for watches. Looks far more expensive that it was.

Should the pillows really be a tight fit into the slot so the watch cannot move about in the matchbox / case?

My watchcase the pillows don't "squeeze" in hence the watch can move about a little in the slot therefore not overall happy with it

That is exactly it. Wolf boxes are completely underwhelming.

I have 2 diplomat cases. One that has 12 for my wife, and mine holds 18. Very sturdy/heavy. Carbon fiber appearance with nice thick pillows that are adjustable so your watch will fit. Highly recommended.

That's a great looking box. Is it actually real carbon fibre? Please post more pics if you can

Any watch box is good, it depends on the watches in the box

Neither of these images are mine, but I was inspired from all of the research that I did. I ended up with an orange Pelican 1200 case and did the 6 watch placement as shown below. LOVE IT.

Picked it up from Amazon here:

I have several cheaper watch boxes. I find I scratch them every time I return them to the safe, so as long as they are wide enough to hold each watch without touching, I don't mind.

Watch Box: My Personal Experience

Just some experiences I've had with mine and my wife's watch boxes. I have one off Etsy, hand made, very nice wood, but the 'walls' that separate the watches aren't fixed, they just sort of wiggle around, I don't love that. Also, the 'cushions' are pretty rigid, so bracelets are either impossible to put on them, or a very tight stretch. Also, they aren't as wide as the slots, so watches don't sit straight or evenly spaced in the box, especially if they have a thick strap. I will be buying replacement cushions at some point because they really bug me.

Wife has a wolf box, and it's just the best. The build quality is great, and the cushions are rigid at the sides, but squishy in the middle, meaning a tight bracelet goes on just fine, and also that the cushion expands and pushes against the side of the slots, so the watches sit evenly spaced, don't wobble around, and look nice and symmetrical. I can't recommend wolf enough. I have one of their winders and it too is really high quality.

I just made a simple wood box that fits in my safe for 10 watches on pillows. If I want to show someone the collection I can just take the box out.

I bought the Wolf Savoy 10 piece watch box. Great woodwork and I got it at a great Black Friday price. But the cuchions are to small and my watch would not stay on them.
When you put it into the slot it sinks to the bottom... So I sadly returned it!
