It's the first week of June, and I was waiting for a thread on a price increase!

Actually what is wrong is Rolex does not and never has announced their price increases. They give zero notice and the only way an AD or Rep knows is the day the new price sheet with higher prices gets handed out and the old one returned. That is 100% fact and indisputable. Now whether or not Rolex was not forthright at Basel is an unknown. They 100% said there will be no price increases in foreseeable future. So if their definition of foreseeable is only 3 months then that would be surprising. Again though the fact is Rolex doesn't announce it when it does happen. Again until new price sheets are out and old ones returned it is all HOT AIR!

**This does not include country specific currency adjustments of course.

Great comments everyone! I'm sure a Rolex Sales Rep would not misinform an AD. Of course, only time will tell!

Well if so then Rolex has completely changed the way they operate and also were not quite truthful at Basel. So that would be a shocker to me but anything can happen. I again would be surprised though as it is just not how they have done business so will be a first.

10% is a good jump in price for SS seeing that a Sub you could buy new 11-12 years ago for around $3500 now runs 10k

The sales rep for So Calif. told several AD's that the new SDc 4000 will not be out until late fall. Shows you what this rep knows!

Without listing an actual date when this will occur, of course the Rolex Rep will be right. But it could be Oct 2014, May 2015, 29 Feb 2016, etc.

In all fairness they do have a new CEO so who knows if they change how they have always operated--anything is possible. With that said I still say that it is all hot air until new price sheets with higher prices are in AD hands and old ones sent back to Rolex.

Usually Friday notification, Monday new prices in store are in effect

That was not a price increase and was a currency adjustment specific to Canada due to your weak dollar.

Probably not, but many salesmen like to misinform consumers, especially if it results in a sale.

This not the first time this year that we've heard this.

Ken is right and I know this because I learned it from my AD. Rolex sends out a price sheet to the ADs by Fed Ex, usually the day before a price increase.

That's not a big notice and it doesn't come through a sales representative.

Typical strategy by a local salesperson to get a prospect to buy ASAP.
Salespeople are sharks. I know, I work in sales!

I alreay saw the price sheet for the Fall because when I got on the waiting list for the WG GMT, AD showed it to me and gave me the cost. That is for late Sept.
