If you ask me Omega had an awesome Basel...if they have ripped off the DJ etc...at least they are making DJ's that people want to buy!
Rolex and Basel...it kinda feels like that ex girlfriend you never want to bring up in front of your mates or your current squeeze...you know the one....'the eight pint babe'? J |

x2!!! I'm with you!!!
Awesome Basel indeed!!!! Quote:
should remember that the Seamaster line is one of the oldest (THE oldest, if I remember correctly) of Omega and the classic looking AT design is pointing more to Ω's vintage heritage than anything else... inho at least... Quote:
But I'm with you on this... Ω stole the show this year imho (well, at least when talking about both R & Ω) Gee, I sure need a time machine now... how am I supposed to wait all the way 'till October for my Alaska Project Speedy????? Oh well... B/R

Petros
Fab sentiments wholly agreed with. That Alaska Project is just simply one of the best watches unveiled at this years show. This year Rolex have dropped the ball and Omega, Jlc (with their Polaris) and IWC (the new pilots etc) have picked it up and run on to score! This is coming from a Rolex pureblood. I never appreciated Omega...always thinking they were a lesser watch. It took the joining of a Rolex forum to come to terms with how great Omega's watches truly are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! J |

They look a bit similar but still have have the Omega distinctive design - I wouldn't call them Rolex ripoffs
