My wife would KILL me if I bought a setup like that.

YM was my first Rolex as well. Great choice.

Icon14 Welcome to the Premier Rolex Website!

First off Congrat's on a beautiful, practical, Sporting, and Finess-ical, (I made that word up) Rolex! I too own the very same one and it is also my first.

Here is a nice write up by one of our very own members:
http://www.watchwallpapers.com/16622.htm

I have said and still feel that although the YM doesn't get as much attention as does the SS Daytona, or even the Sub currently, that Its desirability will increase as the years pass...

And lastly, when I saw your Turbo, I knew it was a 997 due to the Mirrors being on the A-Frame as opposed to the newer 991 Body style 911 whee they are located on the doors. Some say they like the 997 better. I for one am looking at a 991 GTS CAb or maybe even a regular C4S cab. I actually prefer the new body style and the extra comfort built into the platform.

Big congrats, Ron. I too had a platinum YM once, let it go to fund something else, and ended up getting the new blue-dial YM to replace it. Here's my original Yacht Master with my '98 993 cabrio. Even though the watch is gone, I did keep the car, lol. Style points deducted for being a tiptronic, I know, but it's still an absolutely amazing, involving, and totally satisfying driving experience.

I also collect vintage Marantz stereo components and came across a pair of glorious sounding Martin Logan speakers a few years ago.

Enjoy your new YM, it's a beauty.

Kind regards, -rick.
