It is beautiful and the price tag makes me look elsewhere and at other models

Unfortunately not. I have first to climb the Patek ladder.

I think it's a very attractive piece but for that price not for me, even if I had it. I would spend that 400k on pieces that would sing to me much more.

One of Patek's best. So difficult to produce. Amazing.

In its first year of production (2012-2013) Patek supposedly only managed to make one piece. Sold to a buyer from the London salon. Supposedly.

I still fail to understand in what it's a grand complication, for me it's a split second chrono but maybe I'm missing something...

As difficult to make as a minute repeater if not more difficult. Most definately a grand complication.

If you ever wanted a watch to fly under the radar and had around £330,000 to spend!

Well I'm sorry but this watch does nothing for me. Not saying that there is anything particularly bad about it, but a 400k watch has to sing to me like nothing else in this world, and it just can't. Personally I think its way overpriced too for what it is.....

Ha. Just the most difficult movement ever to produce especially in that thin of a case.. said the 1 of 4 people in the world who work on split seconds in Patek's Geneva Headquarters to me last summer.

Personally I like the 5204P better but I'm a little biased.

Not bad either.

But I am really fascinated how the 5950 keeps a low profile

I've never seen one in person but is it really thin or just an illusion. From the view from the side it looks like it protrudes on the bottom.
