Strep is way better to get vs. shingles....so hope for strep! Shingles will kick your butt for 30-180 days....

Thanks again for your kind words, guys.
Here's the rash on the left side of my neck. More like lumps than what I would describe as a rash but that's what the two doctors both called it. I was prescribed Acyclovir in both tablets (800mg five times a day!) and in cream form, seven day course of antibiotics for the tonsil infection, pain killers and something to keep the meds in me (developed horrid diarrhoea, which doc on Tuesday said was most likely a result of the anti-viral drugs). Apparently, it wasn't strep throat. Both docs said it was acute tonsillitis which was evident from the white spots and pus on my tonsils. As for the lumps, rash, whatever, on my neck, it looks like it was caught in time as it seems to be subsiding now. Still, there and a bit itchy but not as angry looking. I'm hoping to get back to work by end of next week.

Aw..sorry to hear you're sick. I know it's hard, but don't scratch them! And your mom was right, stress doesn't help so stay calm & try to minimize your stress. May be time to meditate? I suck at meditating. I last about 2 minutes before I start to wonder how much longer I have till it's done. Or I go through a mental list of everything I have to do once I stop trying to think of nothing. LOL I would say its a fail. LOL I jest but I hope you start feeling better soon.
