It has the same 3132 movement as the Explorer that includes the Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers, so basically a tank in a tux.

Less expensive because the movement does not have additional complications, hands, moving bezel, twin lock crown versus triple lock, water resistance only 100 meters, etc.

I was planning on only one luxury watch, my SDc, but now? Gives me quite a pause for consideration.
