Icon11 Update

Just to add, I sent my BB to RSC shortly after acquiring it, since it being 20 years old and don’t have any service history.

Partly also (and I mentioned about a ‘little flaw’ before http://www.rolexforums.com/showpost....1&postcount=22 ), the minute hand sub dial is not aligned.

It costs the same as my 79280P for a full service http://www.rolexforums.com/showpost....0&postcount=60

As usual I opt out of the polishing entirely.

Super relieved that the tech confirmed the pushers are in good condition so saved $300 on them

But what surprised me was that the $400 full service price also includes replacement for the plexiglass at NO additional cost!

I’m not sure whether this is standard for the BB but I had to pay for the sapphire for my 79280P

The only thing is I have to wait an additional 2 weeks on top of the 3 weeks for the service job as they are waiting for new stocks.

I was told that I could do away with changing the plexiglass (only minor scratches and a very tiny chip at 2) if I want to.

However, given that it’s already included in the service cost, I might as well wait.

I also put an order for the shark skin type leather strap for my 79280P I had wanted the last time, which will take “3-4 weeks” to get in.

I barely had any wrist time with my BB but I feel it’s worth the wait.
To me, it’s a keeper and having it properly serviced will give me peace of mind and a good starting point to my ownership.
