16710 without a doubt. Have had many Rolexes and the only one I regret selling was the 16710 Pepsi. I don't like the large font of the numbers against the dark bezel of the BLNR--a bit too in your face; that look would get tiring for me after awhile.

A very good point. I had to buy my 16710 second hand, but was fortunate enough that DavidSW found a perfect specimen. If not, I may be without mine today for the reason you note.

16710, but i'd look for circa 2000 model with lug holes and SELs.

I totally agree with Peter (surprise, surprise) and would add that the 16710 can be dressed up or down as the occasion requires.

16710. Maybe add a more modern solid bracelet (brushed) for some extra heft of the 116710

Well, as of this moment, the poll is split down the middle with 41 poeple on both sides.

My vote is for the 16710. I never liked the ceramic bezels. The colors are just too concrete and don't play well with light like the aluminum.

The irony...

The new fonts on the modern GMTs; BLRO ceramic insert and this are quite the same.

If I had to choose one, go with the 16710 now and BLNR later!

Sorry, BLNR can't compete. Vintage all the way. It is not classic, I would call pepsi/coke LEGENDARY!

Having both a 5 digit (coke bezel d series) and a BLNR myself; as my only GMT, I'd go with the 5 digit especially if your getting all three bezels - no hesitation. It's classic and they've stopped making them.

The BLNR is a completely different watch. Same complications , but completely different feel and look. A bit bulked up and polished version of the 5 digit. A very beautiful watch. I wear the 5 digit in the summer when I'm more active. It's a lighter watch and just feels for comfortable than the tad heavier BLNR. Come fall I mostly wear the BLNR.

Get the 5digit now while you can. They won't get any cheaper.

I have both and it is hard to choose. My 16710 has the Pepsi bezel and it is a full set and can pass for new. I am the second owner it is a T serial and the tritium has gone out.

This. Plus the BLNR blue is not my personal favorite for how it looks on me, though many love the blue. On top of that I already own the GMTC I want, the 116713. Many would disagree with that choice also, lol! Good thing we have options. In this case mine would be the 16710.

Own both, love both for reasons mentioned above. There needs to be a "both" option!

I love these on the jubilee. Is that yours? or a stock photo?
Does a super jubilee fit the BLNR?

BLNR. The new style bracelet and clasp seal the deal for me. Also love the black/blue combo.

I have both and it would be a tough decision. Probably the 16710 because it is basically three watches in one with the different bezel inserts.
