FWIW a vast number of PTs are doctors. As in, rec'd a doctorate in physical therapy. If I'm not mistaken, all accredited programs in the US now graduate DPTs. Sorry for thread hijack

Ouch, sorry to see that, maybe wait a couple months to see if it still bothers you then if so get it fixed. On a side note I always take my watch off before going to my chiropractor or the dentist, too much metal around my dangling wrists.

I believe it is not uncommon for some men to dress up when going to the doctor, including wearing a nice watch. I dress as comfortably as I can, and leave the nice watches at home.

Thanks all for the comments ... it does suck the way it
happened . I'll be wearing my Bluesy now for awhile
until I either get over it or decide what to do next in this
chapter... over all the watch looks great until I accidentally
look at it on the side ...

Well that sucks. At least you've got your bluesy to comfort you.

Hope it all gets sorted out for you.

The fact that the watch was damaged from a stethoscope makes me wonder just how durable the case is. The watch was designed to be a "sport" watch and you would think it would be a bit more resistant to a stethoscope.

It's stainless steel - it's exactly as durable as every other piece of stainless steel.

It is a watch which will inevitably get more marks over the years and it was an accident!!

Send it to LA Watchworks to get the ding laser welded and lapped out if it really bothers you.

More durable vs chemicals...not dents.

I'm not a metallurgist, so I don't have the Rockwell numbers memorized, but the steel Rolex uses isn't especially amazing. It's used for medical instruments because it's super hypoallergenic, and I think that's why Rolex uses it. Though, some claim it's "brighter" than other steels.

It's not nearly as hard as damasko's ice hardened steel.

Get it fixed, and otherwise you will be forced to look at (or think of) it over and over again even if you are not wearing it.

As long as you can still read the time accurately on it everything's okay. Life is simple, don't let the things you own end up owning you.

Pretty small deal. These things happen, he was clearly more concerned about your health than your watch.

You are correct. I was going to also educate cht about his comment but you beat me to it. As a healthcare professional it bugs me when people make false comments about us. Rant over.

Back to the subject, yeah that must have hurt and sorry for the misfortune. As others have said, you may actually come to accept the dent as "character". Had a similar thing happen to my SubC and after a week I got over it.
