I have bought from a Grey Dealer in the North of England a new Rolex T/T Sub 116613LB for 7,800 Sterling & April this year I have added a new T/T Daytona 116503 for 11,210 Sterling. I even travelled to the UK on both occasions to pick up the Watches in person & I saved several thousand Euro. The price of these watches in Dublin Ireland is scandalous. But having checked the website again these Watches have increased in price by 900 Sterling so I was very lucky to get them when I did

You should see how they are pricing the new models on the other thread.

£9,500. No joke. Sticker also said "collectable"

Even fully stickered (nor sure if it was) that's a disgrace. UK list is £6.600. I know they're hard to get but seriously ??
Collectable
How can anything that's mass produced be collectible

Grey market prices are a joke on some models... problem is, all the time people are buying them these prices will only increase! Just get friendly with your local AD and be patient... don't be a idiot and pay over list!!!!

I got my BLNR at list when launched, it was just sitting in the window... Ive now just purchased the new Air King, at list... 3 day wait!!! Even these are making £500 over list!!! Its just stupid!!!

Watchfinder have a 2017 Sub c date non stickered for £7250! I got mine at an ad two weeks ago after having waited just a month! It’s getting ridiculous.

Yes, but Rolex is fueling this frenzy by keeping supply low there. I travel a lot for work and have no problems finding any watch other than the ceramic Daytona and new Basel releases. Most can be had at a discount.

The TS over your side are marking up prices as well, looks like low supply is coming to a cinema near you too, Chad.

Other than the highly desirable pieces like the DaytonaC, Hulk, etc., I haven't really seen increases. I don't really understand the upcharge for the Hulk, either. I can easily get one delivered to my door from an AD for MSRP. Of course, that may be because I've spent waaaaaay too much money on watches.

No one is being forced to buy anything, we buy something like a Rolex because we want it. No one is gouging anyone, we are all free to walk away.

Agreed. Sellers should sell for as much as they can get. I would.

Lol, Watchfinders have an SD43 at 50% over RRP at nothing less than £12,500. Wowzers. Makes paying retail look like a bargain in comparison.

Very true...a lot of this is down to limited supply and could easily be resolved by Rolex. These are mass produced items that they could turn out in thousands if they so chose to....doubt it will happen though. Whilst I can see and accept their desire to keep their product prestigious and sought after by restricting the flow and availability, surely they would not be supporting the mess that has now ensued?

If Rolex increased production and more and more people got them quickly then residuals would drop in price, we'd see more folks with them and the exclusivity and uniqueness would dwindle. Its a double edged sword.

I feel quite chuffed NOT seeing a BLNR in the AD window every time I look.

Well, since the fall of the pound against the euro, Rolex is losing about 13% on every watch they sell in the UK compared with the euro zone at current 1.09 GBP/EUR rate. Where would you rather focus your sales and supply ADs if you were Rolex?

In other words, prices in the UK would have to rise 15% to make them at par with the continent. That's a few future potential increases before we get there and pump supply back into the UK.

e.g. :SD43 :€10,450 vs £8,350 instead of £9,600

Yet the uk market is the 4th biggest in the world for Swiss exports. Up 11%

U.S market 2nd down 4%.

Brexit... yet it’s where the growth is outside the Far East. All other significant markets down.

Just wait until you guys see prices in Singapore for hot models of... anything. Heck, no one cares about the new Apple phone, except in Singapore where the lines were normal for launch.

UK folks can easily buy any Rolex they want online. Sure some models like ceramic 'tona or SS SkyD can be costly, yet overall prices are fine. Big world out there and all that.

I wonder if they actually get that? I know someone who recently contacted them to sell there watch and they would only pay retail and not a pound more. This was for a NIB with stickers SD43. They were lucky enough to get one in London and bought it even though they weren't sure they wanted to keep it so they checked with WF.

I think they will get or would of got something close to their sticker price. I was surprised by WF though I bought a gold Cartier roadster few months ago from my grey dealer in Spain for 5000 euros didn't really like it so when I was in uk went into WF and they offered me £5000 for it which I took straight away and made little profit, I thought they would be offering around £4000. I have seen it on the website though and it's still there for £6950 which they will never get for it.
