Two great watches that you can’t go wrong with either. Which one is a favorite will be a toss up here, and will depend on what you have in your arsenal besides those two.

I have both but I also have the subC which has a very special place in my heart so I end up wearing the blnr more than the SD43...... but the one that gets over 80% of my wrist time is my James Cameron!!

Good info for the guy that wants one but has yet to try one on his 7.75 to 8 in wrist.

I have a 9inch wrist so for me there is only one choice out of these two pieces. BLNR is way to small

Looks perfect IMO Roger

Yes we are cursed with those boney lean wrists, however as Scott and others have pointed out, wearing it a bit more on the snug side helps.

FYI, I chose to move the half link to the 12 o’clock side, so I have 5 1/2 kinks at 12 and 4 links at 6. I find having the clasp slightly off center (tilting toward 6 o’clock) helps to keep the watch head more centered on my wrist and off the bone. FWIW

The SD43 is such a beautiful watch. I really miss mine. Yes, it‘s thick, but once you got used to it, SubC and the likes just feel shallow.

I was joust going to suggest moving the half link. Great minds and all that

This might be the best looking Rolex ever. Tapered lugs, 43mm, cyclops, updated movement.

I might get some heat for this, but I find the blnr looks more like a toy watch, i.e. not as refined as sd43.

Sd43 if I have to choose between the two.

Don’t like the blue on the blnr bezel nor the pcl.

Both great watches, but the SD43 is the winner for me.

I do like the BLNR but I'm not a fan of PCLs. SD all day it really is a perfect sports Rolex.

I've had both, but never at the same time. SD is still with me, the BLNR is not.

Why is this the comparison? It seems to me that the better comparison is the SD43 vs the Black Sub C. Both have similar black look with brushed bracelets. I think the BLNR is colorful and has PCLs making it a different look...maybe more dressy and noticeable.
In comparing the SD43 and the Black Sub C, it really came down to size for me...I like the larger format 43mm case.

Agree with Marc2828 on why compare these two? I have both and I like the BLNR due to the PCLs and I feel it's more dressy and wear that to work daily. SD43 is more sporty to me and I like the size so that is my weekend watch.

For me the SD43 is the perfect SS sports model followed closely by the DSSD blue and the Skydweller. BLNR doesn’t even appear on my radar because it’s just to small for my wrist

Had the Sub C, BLNR, and SD43 as options. I thought my dream was going to be the BLNR...until it went on my wrist. At 7.75-8” wrist size, my wife simply felt the other two “looked puny on my wrist.”

I admit it hurt my feelings a little as I was pretty excited about the BLNR. I STILL like all. three. watches.

As you see below...a choice was made.
