Yep that bracelet is pure magic. Couldn't let go of it. Im assuming that the perpetual will have the same quality of finishing as the watch I saw/tried.

26343CE? If it is the model, that one don't have problem of flat dial due to skeletonized dial and tourbillon...

It's a lot of money so you were right to be cautious and now it looks as though you know this really is the one for you.

Also be aware of the recent AP price rise and this model is now marked as ‘Price available upon request’

Yes, insane piece... and that model was not supposed to even come with a bracelet...

AP did a strange move.

They had full presentation on SIHH and even let many internet blogs to handle and review these pieces - 4 models with rubber strap and gray, gold, blue and green details on dial (tachy numbers, seconds, 30 min subdial hands), each color limited to 25 pieces.

Few months later the colorful models with rubber are gone from the website, and they changed refernce to the model you tried, full ceramic bracelet without any of the colors and limited to 100.

Yep I noted that too...

I managed to get myself on the early waitlist for a 5740G even though I wasn't totally taken by that watch. Im thinking of cancelling it and getting this instead. Cant splash out on both even though they are very different pieces.

Seriously edo that watch is just crazy insane desirable. I also looked at a couple of concepts but they didn't remotely make my heart jump as much as this beauty did. The finishing of the ceramic will be identical on the perpetual.

I've seen the all black ceramic perpetual once at an AP boutique ( not for sale as it has been taken up ), but I agree with Sam that it looks kind of flat. Then most watches do not look good in boutique light setting.

AP is my favourite watch brand but if you’re pitching those two against each other I’d take the Patek. JMO

Yes true. Here is the one I tried. Pics really don't do the finish justice.

Some of my friends are saying the same thing. Such a hard decision.

I had quite an in-depth conversation with the head of AP UK on this, his stance was AP listened to their buyers/critics and at SIHH the initial reception was good but they came away with the majority preference it would be better on bracelet so they did!

As for the colours he wasn’t aware if they are now just offering the one or a potential buyer can specify which colour variant they would like.

I’ll reserve full judgment until I see one in person but if I was shopping in that price range it’s good but not amazing! Few other AP pieces I’d pick first.

I loved it. Totally. I must have put it on 4 times or more.

I felt the concepts were good but not amazing.

This is a watch that is such a work of art that it would be worth selling all of your watches to own just this one.

Ash don't disagree with you but that would be such a bold decision !

To me a Royal Oak of any size is eternal and stunning and this at 44mm is just so sweet and rare.
