I'm pretty obsessed with accurate timekeeping. I wonder, how detrimental is it to the crown and stem to be unscrewing and setting the time on a weekly basis? Am I shortening the life span and affecting the accuracy of the watch by overzealously setting the time?
As for the OP, I have been using timeanddate.com |

I have a quartz fossil watch (currently 0sec per day) in my watch case so I can check on everything next to it everytime I pick out a watch. Unless it's blantantly off, I never touch a running watch.

I rotate watches a lot and usually set the new one to whatever the time is on the watch going back in the box. When I occasionally check a watch for accuracy I synchronize it with time.is and check it after 2-3 days.

I check mine about every 2 weeks. If it's off by more than 2 min I'll adjust it. It was off by almost 5 minutes last time I checked...... I need to keep track and make sure it's not an issue

I use the U.S. Naval Observatory master clock: https://tycho.usno.navy.mil/simpletime.html
They might even still have a phone number that you can call and hear the countdown over the phone...that is the (not so) old school Air Force Navigator way of hacking your watch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

my rollie after 2 weeks no winding is around +8-10 seconds on the atomic clock.
really damn good time keeping. I think I'm suppose to wind it every now and then but don't even think about it! |
