Congrats! Excellent choice on the 3-pedal M3 as well.

I too recently sold my BLNR to take advantage of the hype, although I had bought my Daytona a bit earlier.

Good for you. Half of the fun in this hobby of ours if figuring out what we really want! Enjoy your Daytona.

White dial ceramic Daytona would be the only thing I'd trade my BLNR for, but I have a feeling the BLNR will never approach the value of a ceramic Daytona.

Wonderful decision! I feel the while dial is the winner of the 520 and where as the black dial on the 500 wins imho

Congrats!

The white 116520 is an incredible watch. The SubC/DatyonaPB(polished bezel) is the perfect combo in my mind. In fact they get more wrist time than any other Rolex or brands in my rotation by far.

As for value, you are 100% correct. It's still crazy in my opinion the Ceramic are selling at such a premium. If anything these are more classic looking with PBs imo and also, much more versatile without a Cerachrom bezel, especially when you own more than one watch.

Had a choice myself vs the C and still went with my 2016 116520. Price wise you can even get a green tag 5 yr/2 sec, laser etched rehaut, and Easylink with Saftey Clasp at a big discount to the C. Crazy if you ask me, bc it is the same watch.

Enjoy that beauty

Congrats!

I have the white dial 520 too and love or. For me it's better than the black dial 520 but I've come around to preferring the black dial 500 to the white (IMHO the white dial with black bezel is just less versatile). Honestly I think the Daytona case is over of the most beautiful watches ever made.

But I got mine when there was a glut when the 500 came out, which has been nice for me. I totally understand you getting it. As it happens I have the BLNR too and I'm pretty about that as well.

Congrats! I love to trade around; and it’s great to have different complications and dial colors. Enjoy!

Thank you everyone for the kind words, it makes me feel better about trading in the BLNR. To be honest, I was getting a little tired of seeing and reading about the BLNR everywhere lately and it was liberating when I sold it since I didn’t have to worry about it going up or down anymore. I love that there’s no “hype” around the 116520’s and you don’t see a million of them everywhere. Overall just a superb watch and again, I’m happy to join the club!
