leave it as is for now, the polish (although its tempting to remove the minor scratches that we all get on our watches) can change the overall look and feel of your piece if they overdo it. "You can always take more off but you can't put more back on"... or something like that :)

Good choice.

Nothing really wrong with a refinished case, but it is a fleeting thing.

That, and there are only so many times that you can take metal off before you reach the limits of case dimensions.

The watch gains 0.5s/d so no reason to do movement service. He will even sandblast the inside of the clasp (which RSC screwed up a bit 5 years ago when they polished a bit of it. Best part is the price is about 1/2 of what LAWW charges and I will have it back within about a week. Once I get it back I will post the pics and you will be the judge.
good luck, will be curious to see how it comes out

It doesn't look weird nor will if the case is refinished. Either route would be good. Doing what works for you is what's right. Wait until the next servicing is likely the best option. I doubt the repair shop is shutting down.

I would just leave until next service. It looks like quite standard daily driver scratches.

And yet they say let only the RSC polish your watch..

There will be no polishing of my scratches, those are mine.. and so are the sharp edges.

If you are bothered by scratches etc....keep the watch in a safe.

Otherwise enjoy it like you have done all this years.👍

Polish Results

So I am amazed at the quick turn around. Dropped off watch at Sunday mid day, got the call today (Tuesday), 48 hours later that the watch was ready. The work was a case refinish, sand blasting of the inner clasp that RSC mistakenly polished part of during the service, and replacement of the gaskets. Total cost $300, which I think is a great deal, thanks Polacheck's in Calabasas, and specifically to their watch maker Dalton. My goal was not to get scratches out, I liked them, my goal was to somewhat sharpen the soften case edges and make it look less polished, without making the watch look half new, half old. I am happy, but you be the judge...

It looked good and it still does. Hard to tell from the pics if the case is more sharp now. Certainly watchmaker did a good job.
Time to stop OCD and start enjoy wearing it

Looks sharp... get it!? Lol Definitely seems like job well done. There’s nothing wrong with having a watch professionally refinished vs someone taking a dremel or a buffing wheel to one. Enjoy it, looks really good.

You could hit the polished areas with a sunshine cloth. Won’t really remove any metal, but should help a bit.
