Yacht-Racer is the correct name for this watch, IMHO.

Rolex, you built a toolwatch for regattas with a bi-directional bezel to assist with the countdown to the race and to easily track elapsed time between buoys. Even if it's all marketing, I'm a big fan of the YM but I see no point in pompously naming it after a certificate to handle boats.

Pimp Submariner; seriously though, I'm happy with the Yacht-Master. I think the name is perfect!!!

For how it's mostly used, Pool Dweller. LOL

I like The Regatta.

Other brands name their race watches this so maybe they can't.

I like Yacht Master as it is.

However, it was only until the very last was it changed to yachtmaster.

Hence the name mariner.

The perfect name is already taken by Heuer...Aqua-Racer.

Yacht-Master sounds a bit pompous, but it's still a fitting name. If you want to stay with Rolex parlance, Cosmograph Regatta.

Does seem to be a disturbing trend with new members

You specifically didn't ask, but they really missed the boat on naming the Yacht-Master II. It's so different that they should have given it its own name & called it the Regatta-Master.

YMII is the ClownMaster
