Then it's a no brainer! Order the Platona and keep the 15202, unless you need to sell the 15202 to fund the Platona. Will your AD let you get the Platona and the green dial, yellow gold Daytona? Those would both be nice to own.

I'm also considering the 5711 for the 15202. Obviously a tough call, but I picked up a 15300 and since have had very little desire/need to wear my 15202.

Is it size that trumps for you or just the silly value on the 15202 relative to the 15300?

I like that it has a second hand, a quickset date and a screw down crown. The thinness of the 15202 is really the most appealing draw for me, but the 15300 is NOT a thick watch. They're so similar but the 15300 is just slightly more wearable for me.

That is all value aside, but mix in the crazy value spike and i admit it does get my wheels turning a little bit.

Forget about money for a second. Let's take a step back. Your comparing one of the thinnest watches and I would say somewhat delicate to a solid platinum Daytona. The Platona is a heavy watch. And i mean so heavy you might not like it. Try it on a couple times before you buy it. And now let's go back to the 15202, it's super thin. It's so thin a tight sweater can easily slide over it. And it's more delicate compared to a Daytona. But I wouldn't worry about it, it's still a solid feel. So my question is, why are you comparing two worlds of watches? I would hope to own both rather then either or. Hope this helps.

Personally I would buy a 15202. It's truly one of a kind. If you get the opportunity, don't pass it up. The Platona is stunning. The hue of platinum is unlike white gold.
