Absolutely.

It'll also depend on your build/height to a degree to be able to carry off a 43/44mm piece, as well wrist size/shape.

Thanks for all the great comments guys, much appreciated

To give give you a little background, I’ve been Rolex through and through for many years (still am of course). Over the last couples of years I’ve learnt a little about AP and wanted to get an RO. A couple of members here helped me get a 15500 and it’s been such a great watch, I’ve wanted to add a a ROO. When the new releases were announced I thought I’d wait for the opportunity to try them. Rose gold, blue titanium and smoked taupe are all fantastic in the flesh and AP’s website doesn’t do them justice.

I’d normally have gone for the blue dial every single time but there was just something so special about the smoked taupe dial - I don’t own anything like it, nor have in the past or even seen a dial up close like it. My wife told me to just go for it so I did as I was told

AP House are fantastic to deal with and as watches go, there really is something special about AP’s.

Thank you all :-)

48 hours on and I’ve totally made the right decision to buy. Still can’t decide which strap I prefer - they both totally work!

Would you get any other straps Stephen?

Gareth I’ve got a grey strap coming. I don’t think there’s that many available as of yet.

Congrats, it's a beautiful piece.

Both straps compliment the bezel and dial very well!

Looking forward to trying on the new 43s. Hopefully the NYC Boutique will get their marketing pieces soon.

Cheers bud. Straps are the perfect choice.

If NYC gets them soon I’d head straight there if I were you to have a look. Thing about this one is the photos really don’t do it any justice. Two of my colleagues who never notice my watches, both commented today about how special the dial is. I’m biased but it’s stunning!

Yep Ash I think you’re right. At the moment though the grey is the only one available. More being added apparently

Amazing watch, looks great on your wrist Stephen.

Would you know if it has a leather strap option?

Thanks Aly, I’m loving it

The pink gold version comes with a black alligator strap and the black dial comes with a brown calfskin strap so I’m guessing those two options are available.

I’ve got a grey rubber coming and as of a couple of weeks back they weren’t many colours available, but AP House thought more would be added.

That’s good to know. I was thinking that a black alligator leather could also go very nicely with the taupe ROO, in the cooler months. A beige/brown leather strap would also be beautiful, but the color would have to be well matched.

Any news of more colour rubber (or calfskin) changeable straps for the 43 ROO's at all?

Love the taupe dial. All the new 43mm offshores are definitely stunners. Enjoy the new addition!

Yeah, i was thinking the same thing, I’m not sure new straps for this ROO have been released yet.
Would like to see some photos

Grey strap arrived yesterday. Not sure but might prefer this strap the most.

I remember this dial looking quite silver in certain light so the grey strap is a winner.

Black is best but think the grey is better than the greeny one, looks a bit like the Thames to me.

I think I preferred the black when I got it as the black goes with the bezel, though the Thames one goes with the dial to be fair.

Enjoying my new one right now, though the thing that I love about the strap options is that each one makes a different look :-)
