It is a gift from his wife… what’s his it’s hers. Regardless of who paid for it or the money aspect. It’s nice to see that your wife supports your purchase and what now will become your hobby. Congrats on scoring a SS piece at retail.

Love it. Goes to show AD’s still help special occasion pieces for new customers, and that you can still start a relationship with a sub

Congrats. Box and papers, bro!

We actually visited the store a month ago together. After reading several posts here how hard it to buy SS Sports watch tbh I was very hopeless.
I am super happy right now.
Just for context: This is my first Rolex and we have no spending history or any relationship with the store. I am glad we find a great store that was able to help us to find our dream watch.
Very nice but how is that a gift when she used your bank account to pay for it lol

My thoughts exactly. Congratulations and don't believe all you read here that it's impossible to get watches from an AD.

[QUOTE=tetiker;11755258]Hi folks
For a long time I am looking to buy black Submariner and just received a text from my bank that my wife spent ~$10K at an AD.
I am super excited but didn’t know she was also looking.
Will learn most likely tonight:)[/QUO

I hope its not for the gardener

Rubbish comment …..

Congrats OP, that’s a great watch to start with. Even if you never get another Rolex, that’s a great watch to have.

Congrats, nice first watch to obtain.

Bit dissapounted though as I thought it was you who started the 9 day thread, created a new account and was going for a new post count record.

Congrats! I got the same watch, and first Rolex, in July because of a relationship (business) my wife had with an AD. Enjoy it, 3 months later and still in honeymoon phase with mine.

Congratulations and happy anniversary! I am also waiting for a sub. I have been building a relationship with my AD and they know I am wanting to celebrate my upcoming 50th birthday with a new sub. I now have a little over 6 months until then, so hopefully they can come through between now and then. Even though we bought my wife's new OP34 from them, she suggested that I go talk to the other ADs nearby and also let them know what my milestone is. I mean, using her logic, if we were looking for a specific brand of car we would stop by all of the local dealers for that brand, so why should this be any different?
