A picture of them won't entirely be a bad to share...
Still, not doubting though, just want to feed my eyes with such beauty |

Another thought is some new releases that further reduce production numbers of of said models, making them more scarce and further driving up the price.

I somehow believe this guy. Please do share more.
The brand direction and where the company is headed is crazy. From AP houses to collabs with marvel and digging into the second hand market, they’re really doing something no other brand is doing. |

I very much believe AP will launch amazing watches next year, but if anything, I would expect that would lower demaind and therefore prices of the older models.
I probably miss something, so would be great if you could clarify. |

I think with the new releases AP will lower production of the current models in the catalogue to make the new ones *slightly* available. If the new RO Jumbo is amazing as predicted, then generally the whole RO gets an uplift in terms of demand which drives prices further upwards. In terms of discontinuation, besides the 15202 and the current SS ROC, what else can they discontinue? Possibly the 15450? the 15500 was just released in 2019 with the CODE movement and the colour palette is pretty much the standard black, white, grey, blue so unless they throw a curveball and release a 'turquoise' colour I don't really see what else can be done there.
And AP if you are reading this, NO TURQUOISE COLOUR FOR THE ROYAL OAK PLEASE! Thanks! |

Good Luck to those who buy up from such stupid rumour. Personally, I am very objective and it doesn't fit business sense for AP to drop any of the lines, they are after for profits and market share too, dropping the RO and ROO lines only benefit the grey market only. You guys are intelligent enough to know what to believe and what is not. Use your common sense after all.

At most, I expect new models to slightly moderate price increases on the older ones. In the short term, any interesting new models will be unobtainable to most, so there's no reason to expect a significant downward impact on the existing used/grey inventory. One could even see a further melt-up of prices if the AP hype reaches new heights with a successful intro.

Well, turquoise as a copy-cat move would be pretty weak sauce, but adding a few dial colors to the 15500/15450 range would be an easy way for AP to perpetuate the hype. Even if green is pretty played out by now, a nice dark green/pink gold 15500 would be killer.

I'm not so sure green is "played out" I think it's just the tip of the expensive iceberg

So much brainpower in this thread. None of you have figured it out yet though. Nothing except the 15202 will be discontinued. As a matter of fact, there will be additions only, and a lot of them.
So there must be another reason why prices will skyrocket. Think again. PS Go back and check what prices have done since i started this thread. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

I love this thread, it sums up our little corner of the internet perfectly :)
As to next year... I don't want what I don't yet know about. I'm sure next year AP will launch some new iterations of Code/RO/ROO/Concept but I can honestly say that a lot of what AP makes really doesn't speak to me. Sometimes though things sing and that's where my love of AP rests. My budget is blown, so other than hoping that AP make a QP BMG that I'm lucky enough to be able to obtain, then the rest is just entertainment, just like the Marvel release. It has to be a big year for sure, I hope to be surprised. Only a few months to wait... |

There is no longer any 'typical' with AP.
Next year though it would be reasonable to assume that any launch of the 'new' jumbo will be April to match the 1972 launch. But will that be when they tell us about it or when they are able to actually deliver to customers? Any and all other releases are anyone's guess. |

Bring it on, that would be a cool way to start the year for sure.
I'm with AP on Monday who are always tight lipped about 'what' may be coming but maybe not so much as to 'when', so I'll be sure to ask as it wasn't even on my radar to even enquire. |
