After finding out about the sodium content in the package noodles, I stopped buying them. It may be cheap, but it will cost you down the line in terms of your health.

The sodium in the package, right? I don't use that, actually... I use a little cajun seasoning, which probably isn't any better for me, but hoooooooeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!

I personally prefer udon, but I guess "Ramen and Rolex" has a catchier ring to it. Hope she gets well soon.

Hey Scott, that's a hot AP ROO!

Awesome. Ramen is not bad with steamed veggies.

Hope your daughter makes a speedy recovery! Love her twin bear, too.

Love it.

Fortunately, I don't eat the package. The plastic doesn't agree with me.

I've accidentally boiled the seasoning packet when I cook the noodles.

Hope your daughter feels better real soon.

Ramen in Japan............I could handle that, just a little more than a $1 cup-o-noodles

Great theme, instant noodles/ramen and Rolex do seem like a natural fit.
And good pics from you, Eddie, Kyle and others. My slogan and photo contribution:-

" ROLEX, almost as international and timely as Ramen ... ... "

Here's my secret to making ordinary Ramen into Noodles ala Francaise
-- add a spoonful of wine about five seconds before you're done cooking.
Adding any seafood - shrimp, scallops, lobster, etc. also helps ...

Agreed. This is almost the only Ramen I eat any more. Spicy style with an egg! Had it the other night in fact.

Interesting thread. I ate a lot of ramen during my college days at UCLA. Still eat it about once a month, sometimes with a fried egg, and some fried/grilled Spam or ham on top. To reduce the sodium, I use only about 25% of the seasoning packet.

Obviously, not gourmet food by any means, but it's a quick meal in a pinch.
