Here's my issues:
Sub Pros: 1. Simple Face, not cluttered 2. Bracelet Hides Scratches 3. Doesn't go out of style 4. Narrower case where meets bracelet (doesn't look so bulky) 5. Better Price 6. Not to Flashy Pros GMT IIc 1. Ceramic Bezel 2. Better Bracelet Clasp 3. Thinner Case at Base 4. Would actually have use for Bezel's function (I don't dive) So with these pros/cons I think my only choice is to wait for the 2010 Sub with Ceramic Bezel and better Bracelet Clasp, but will it still have the narrower case where it meets the bracelet and will the bracelet be polished, price will be high when 1st introduced, and then there's the WAITING!... these are the dilemmas I have. I guess I like the look of the Sub but the newer technology of the GMT. When I buy a Rolex it will be my one and only that I want to hand down to my son when I die. I don't want to buy one now and than trade up later. |

Just buy it , you will be supprised how easy you get away with it at home . I very recently did with a slightly " heavier case"... Well I think .

I don't see people talk about this much, but I believe people limit the use of the bezel on the sub to just diving. I use my all the time. If I drop off my brother at practice and have to pick him up in 45 minutes, I move my bezel so I know exactly how much time has passed. If I cook a pizza for 15 minutes, I move my bezel to know when its done. My job truly puts me in different time zones, from east coast to west coast, but the difference is so small (maybe 1-3 hours difference max), that I can quick-set my watch to local time and do the quick math in my head. I really use the sub bezel more for every day stuff than I would use a GMT bezel for time zones. Bottom line is I hope people don't limit the potential of the sub bezel, there are many uses for it.

The only way I can fund the GMTIIc is by selling my Sub and I simply cannot bring myself to do it.

The new Subs (WG/YG/TT at the mo) also have the 'supercase', same as the GMT IIc, so the narrower lugs are no more. As for bracelet PCLs (polished centre links), we will have to wait until the SS version is released - possibly next year... but not confirmed. Cheers ![]()
