Any one of the other three high horology brands and certainly not a “high street” mass produced Rolex for that sort of money

Market price: Meteorite BLRO for me; use the extra $5-8k (ish) for a fun trip to Vegas to show it off at the tables!

At MSRP: add a little more cash and get a Platinum DD40

How about several SS Rolex sports watches for $60k instead of just one DD?

Just one watch… depends what you want. I would want a date, so probably the patek or DD

Curious to know which specific model you would choose from each brand, I’ll start:

Rolex: Day Date 40 gold
Patek Philippe: 5212a weekly calendar
A Lange and Sohne: 1815 chronograph WG
Vacheron Constantin: Corne De Vache
Probably this AP for $27K and then put the rest in 5% certificates of deposit.

Get a car instead, or a small house or a very poor village.

I’d get 2 as there is no single watch for the budget that I’d be in to.

I’d get a 116618LB to commemorate my graduation from the University of Michigan which would take around $36k and with other $14k I’d find the best 5513 or 1680 I could with some nice creamy patina on the lume and a gray blue aged bezel

I was in the same situation. I picked up a 5205g and never looked back.

$60k to use for one watch.

Crossed that bridge…

But if I can redo, it will be Lange Datograph platinum, first gen.

Having re read the question. You’re asking for one from each of the following brands…

Rolex: DD40 YG
Patek: either a used 3940 or new 5205
ALS: Lange 1 moon phase or 1815 chrono
VC: CDV

I’d also through in AP, and that would be the 37mm Royal Oak, on most wrist sizes I believe the best AP offer.

Tbh I would rather have 3/4 out of these than 1 200K watch.

I dream of many things I'd do if $100 million dropped in my lap. I like watches and Rolex but I really have no desire for a $60k watch. I'm not saying I wouldn't blow the money on something frivolous because I absolutely would...just not a wristwatch.
