I agree with most, MK1 is nicer IMO. It's more traditional being close to Rolex green.

I would love both, but prefer the left. To my eye, it resembles the green of the anniversary LV, and I like that.

Taste is subjective but prefer the yellow undertones of the MKII. Also like that Rolex did this intentionally.

Absolutely

The new AND IMPROVED bezel color is WAY better.. and that’s coming from a 126610lv owner and 116610lv owner.. problem with mark 1 bezel is it just looks like a hulk without the dial.. with this mark 2 bezel we actually get a more unique watch and more true to the original 50th anniversary sub! I’m very much happy about this and certainly will be gifting a close friend of mine my 126610lv mark 1 as soon as my AD calls with my mark 2 one !!

I bought a 2022 mk1 yesterday, personally I’m very happy to have either, owned plenty of black bezel variants before but like the green so much more and it seems to make the black dial look even blacker!

Had the hulk for years which I think is same bezel as MK1 and I personally prefer the MK2 darker shade which contrasts better with the black dial and is a true reference to the original 'Kermit' bezel

I need this one! I wonder if Rolex did this since nearing the 70th anniversary or 20th of the kermit but the aluminum bezels had different shade of green as well but I prefer the Mark II over Mark I.

The later "Mk 2" is much nicer IMO. Much more like the original 16610LV I used to own.

The MK2 is closer to a lime green (though not quite) vs. the old one which is more of a forest green. The MK2 is more like the old aluminum bezel version. I saw the MK2 dial at my AD and it is really nice. I have the Hulk and for the first time also wanted the 126610LV!

MK II for sure. Had the MK I when it first came out…… just dull and boring.

My wife gifted me this Mk1 LV at our wedding last weekend. What do you think, should I ask her to take it back and get me a Mk2??

Both version are great, and I’d be happy with either, but I think I prefer the Mk1. The darker undertones make the watch feel a little more subdued and mature. Plus, I now have a perfect excuse to add the 16610LV to the collection.

The mk2 looks sun faded. Should’ve just kept it the same. Didn’t need to be changed.

Congrats, what a wife.

She could have gotten you a Seiko and it would still be the same.

Im looking for a MK1.
Will have to go preowned.
Am I safe sticking with anything before 1-1-23?

I would think so. Didn’t really see the MK2 popping up until the last 2-3 months.
Good luck!
