Yup, you ARE a PURIST; if you bought an aftermarket bezel insert then we would call you non-purist, so long as you in fact DO get an OEM insert you shuld b fine. But if you put a post up that the insert doesnt seat properly and dont know what to do; then we will know somethings up !

My feelings exactly.

I just voted for the dial change but that's where I draw the line.
I've changed so many DD dials from one color to another with and with out diamonds that I lost track of them.

But to wear a watch with a squid or a shrimp or any other kind of seefood on the dial with some Italian engraving on the case back doesn't thrill me a bit.

Love nato straps, different bracelets as long as their authentic Rolex, and any alteration that's reversible. These work for me. Your mileage may vary.

Telling a Yank he/she can not do something is the same as telling him/her try it. I love the English (they are my brothers) but I understand why my countrymen went to war with the King (same thing you can't do this you can't do that pay your tax.) I freely would tell Rolex to kiss my on the idea of Rolex saying I can't make certain changes to my watch. It's my watch I bought it. My LV Sub looks great with a black bezel. It makes me think of how cool the new sub the maxi dial and the ceramic bezel will be.
