They are after market protection film. The gold is so soft and scratch prone that I wanted to keep it looking nice for as long as I could. This was such a large purchse for me that I am not comfortable scratching it up yet. Maybe once the novelty wears of I will be ok with it and take the stickers off. For now the peace of mind adds to my enjoyment of the watch.

It really is beautiful in person and the gold contrast against the matte dia with red accents is amazing. this is my favorite variation which is why I waited so long to get it.

Congrats, one of the best dial configurations offered on a modern Daytona. Agree that the 126 lost it's charm with the changes made.

The brand is STYX. I have also tried a brand called Healing Shield. I don't see a big difference between brands.

I love the Red chrono hand but the new sub dials are completely different. The subdials on the 11 series have a grooved texture like a vinyl record, not sure what you call that finish and the subdial hands are black versus gold on the new ones.

Side by side they look different enough that I prefer the outgoing 116518.

Amazing!!! Glad you got the one you wanted with the red hand. That’s a special touch and I think will age very well and be a future classic. Enjoy!!

A great piece I love and have been waiting for, too — and now losing hope of ever getting from my AD. Congratulations! It looks great on you.

Major congrats. The best Daytona I put this next to the new le mans. Too bad Rolex stopped using the red Chrono hands.
