Fortunately they received a jubilee a few days before I was scheduled to come in and surprised me with what I wanted.

I was willing to take the Oyster and swap as I was worried that if I waited for the Jubilee I wouldn’t see the watch anytime soon…

Obviously they had it in stock so that makes sense. I too bought a jubilee for my oyster GMT after the policy change, from another ad than the one where I bought the watch, but that was only possible because they had stock since before.

I’ve been waiting 8 months on a jubilee for my SkyD. I haven’t been told it’s suddenly not available but this wait is becoming as frustrating as the wait for the watch was to begin with.

FWIW, I purchased an Oyster PCL for my GMT 126710 from RSC NY in July 2023 for $1,900 + tax. Prices might have gone up since then.

My SkyD arrived July 4th on oyster and ordered a jubilee the same day. Had it in 4 weeks.

Interesting read, thanks everyone. Very topical for me as well.

A couple of weeks back I received a BLRO on oyster. I have asked for a jubilee since and been told the watch has to go back to RSC for authentication. I can then order a jubilee and either hand in the oyster for credit or order the jubilee at full cost.

This info is from the AD, let’s see what RSC says when they get the watch in a few days time.

I will report back.

Yep
No go, I was told it’s not possible as the watch was issued with an oyster bracelet so they would not sell me or exchange for a jubilee.
I really think the rules are made up as they go.
Luckily for me, I have a VTNR jubilee, so I swapped them over myself. The sprite looks great on oyster and the Pepsi on jubilee is perfect.
So I’m happy anyway as I have the outcome I wanted, but a spare bracelet would have been nice too.

I have spoken with my AD recently on this and after the high demand of separate Jubilee bracelets, Rolex put those orders on hold. So if you buy a BLRO on Jubilee, no problem ordering and Oyster bracelet, but the other way around, at least for now, is difficult. Eventually if things simmer down, I think we can order whatever bracelet we want, but for now it's on hold.

My AD in the UK said you can't order a jubilee anymore (last week), however, my friend went directly to the RSC in London and managed to get one.

Go direct and you might have more luck.

I really like my BLRO on my brushed oyster bracelet, but I wouldn't mind having the option to swap to a Jubilee when I feel like it. What a stupid thing it is to deny customers this option. Rolex is like Big Government that constantly creates more laws and rules and regulations that nobody likes.

Options are a good thing. You will get mixed answers to the question of getting a second bracelet until you find the person who really knows the policy which they are obtainable.

My AD which is also a RSC told me they don't offer bracelets any more. In the past when I asked, the answer was yes after factory warranty goes out.
