Those who are willing to pay current grey prices for pieces actually have an advantage in today's market.

Most big name ADs will get you that SS Sub with a pretty quick turn around if you are willing to spend the difference on some diamond earrings. You technically spend the same amount, but you get a free gift.

I think with the current climate, its more so those who do not want to pay over MSRP who have a tougher time.

Or just be very, very, very patient.

I agree with this sentiment. I cannot afford to pay grey prices, so I just try to be genuine with my AD and wait till my name is called.

I have had quite a bit of luck this year and for that I am thankful.

I was just simply pointing out the fact that those who have the money to blow and no patience can most likely walk into a big name AD and say. I want this sky dweller, I am willing to spend 20k on a diamond to bump the next guy off the list. etc.

Rolex Should Let ADs Markup New Stock

I get it, but I don’t think that’s the same thing. The car markup is with dealers and car brokers it doesn’t matter where you look for a car.

There’s no “grey” car dealer charging market price and an AD car dealer charging retail

Yep. My 3 watches in my signature came from 3 different AD, and was a first purchase at each.

I go in person, though. No phone.
