I'm not sure I understand. So these are Swatch watches with Omega branded dials and design?
Why? |

As an Omega lover, this is blasphemy and downright disgusting.

This seems so ridiculous, but I'm not sure what's wrong with me and why I even want one of those.
The Adam Project (2022 Netflix film) has two characters wearing a Speedmaster. In fact, one of the characters is a kid. That was likely part of the plan to get younger individuals to follow suit. https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/ry...e-adam-project Now that product placement makes a lot more sense to me. |

It’s an absolute stroke of genius
This opens up the brand to the younger generation who would otherwise not be able to acquire a $6K watch I’m a fan and it’s a good move on their parts And I own an 1861 and a 3861 I would rock a Neptune Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I am not a fan of Omega on the dial but damn for the price some of these are hot.
This is pretty smart. Omega fans are gonna haord these like candy and younger kids are gonna buy them and perhaps become Omega fans. The Mercury and Jupiter might be coming home.... some are gonna shell top $ for the box set. Price in Tiffany dial is going to the moon, mark and believe that. |

I love them. Problem is I don't live close to a store.
Anyone want to make a quick 100 bucks and pick a couple up for me on Saturday? LOL |

Yeah. I am kind of afraid of that. I just called NY Times Square and they won't consider a phone order. So, gonna call around and see if I can get lucky anywhere.

Totally agree, genius move. It hurts neither business, it only helps. It’s a perfect colab and they look unreal. Some of the colors are a bit wild but the more traditional colors are really cool. I’m in once i can find one. |

I have spoken to 2 NY stores, one TX store and the San Francisco store.
Only 2 watches per customer on day of purchase. The briefcase with all pieces will NOT be available for purchase. No phone orders or shipping of watches. Must be in person to buy. So, sucks for anyone not living in the 7 or so cities they are releasing these. |

Swatch devastated the Swiss watch industry with their onslaught of cheap, plastic, quartz driven watches back in the 80's.
Looks like they are now trying to destroy their own Omega brand with the same approach. Which of their other brands are they going to brutalize next, Breguet, Blancpain, Tissot..

I am going for Mercury and Jupiter.
The Jupiter looks unreal to me. Damn! I might pick up Venus for my wife if I am able. :) |

Mars is cool, that will be a hot seller. I like the colors of Saturn and Neptune too. Uranus and Venus going to sell like crazy I bet. Kinda funny they included Pluto.

I actually like some of them. Find it hilarious that some people are actually disgusted. Get over it. It's a Swatch watch being sold in Swatch shops. It's fresh, modern, cheeky, daring, unique for one of the leading Swiss watch brands. Everything Rolex would never do. This is a big year for Omega.

They could have easily done this range without the Omega/Speedmaster connection. Strange move…..
Some aren’t bad looking. |

I don’t think these are a limited release are they?
So, worst case, might have to wait a while to get one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Theya re not limited but the hype these have generated is ureal. All the watch forums have loaded threads. Its almost like the Rolex launch day (submariner).
I guess this is what they wanted. No publicity is bad publicity. |
