Just came back from the Bahamas. I saw black dial Submariners very frequently. Very easy to spot.

I would say the Sub or DJ. What always gives the Sub away vs an imposter is the bezel. For a DJ it's either the bezel or the cyclops.

I'd say it's close between the dj and the sub. My vote is for the sub.

This was also my thought, I was suprised to see the sub top of the poll. For me it would be day date or datejust.

I was asked by a coworker if my OP39 was a smart watch. No one notices. I like that.

Which Rolex is most copied? I don't mean faked, but what Rolex watches do other legit manufacturers emulate the most? I always think of the Seiko that's made to look like the DJ, fluted bezel, jubilee, often two tone. Which Rolex it is also probably the most familiar to "Joe in the street".

anything with a cyclops - its the most recognizable feature. If I have to pick from there - datejust.

Yup, I agree. Then second in line is the Sub with date. "The Rolex bubble" is very recognizable

I would say a TT DJ but sometimes I think I see one and upon a closer look I realize it is a Seiko

I'd say DJ followed by the Submariner date, TT DJ with fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet would be the most recognizable.

I see many "subs" which I swear looks exactly like pre ceramic subs. But on closer look they are not Rolex. Well at least when I wear my subC people will surely know it's a subC cause AFAIK there are no homages to the subC with the maxi case

GMT or Sub ..... but I work in the aviation industry and that sort of lends itself to the GMT ... though I see quite a few Sub's.

What is interesting is that quality watches .... while not on every wrist, are pretty common. Time is so relevant to all we do, I think it becomes something people get as they hit personal achievements ...

A lot of Tag's .... a fair amount of Omega's, Rolex (more older than newer) and even Panera. I've even run into some serious collectors over the years.

36mm DJ or 36mm DayDate. These are the two Rolex icons as far as the the general "public" are concerned.

I am relatively new to Rolex. Datejust or day date are the models I associated most with Rolex.
