Looking great!

I'm glad to have found someone who keeps their work area almost as neat and tidy as mine!

But not such delicate touch. If I can't fix it with a 7lb hammer I'm all out of ideas!

Slight progress,

Not much glued in place, mock-up of the wheel house.

Some filler to be needed... I feel Billing Boats made an error here... But no problem. Filler saves the day. (Where the wheel house meets the deck)

More stuff to be added to the roof. Much to be painted!

Some updates again. I'm about 30h into building her at this point. She's not going to take as many hours as I though.

Railing is what has been going on. Got it done really good. I'm happy with it.

My plan was to have Andrea finished by christmas time, that didn't really work though!

Well, to my defense the garage is cold!

Got some work done today, I know I've been a huge slacker lately!

Made this:

Part of the hoist equipment onboard.

I'm impressed with the size of this Andreas.
How does it rate in size compared to your other projects?

Alex, this boat is actually a bit smaller than the Calypso. I would say the calypso, and some other boats I've built has been about 1 meter long, (full size I would guess in model terms) some boats have been 60cm, (medium) this is in-between. It's about 72cm long if I remember correctly.

But the difference is the scale, the Andrea Gail is just a small fishing boat, supposed to the Calypso that was actually a "vessel", minesweeper.

So everything looks huge on the Andrea, as opposed to every detail looking tiny on the Calypso.

In real life the Calypso was 42m long and Andrea Gail was 22m.

Got a lot done today!

Another part of the hoist:

And this bit lot's of different things, all now glued together, made of quite a bit of small bits, that needs to be cut to size. Cutting takes 1,5h, gluing 30min.

And some more.

Today I built a couple of masts that are part of the trolling equipment. Didn't get them 100% finished, but will get that done tomorrow. Oh, the horror painting all this is going to be.

Glueing all this together went nicely, I was prepared for a small war, but it didn't escalate to that!

Same boom/mast, or actually there's two of these.

Small details on the platform that's going on top of the rig. (Not finished!)

But slowly. I blame the cold. (again)

Also waiting for some parts. Ordered a 20 AMP digital speed controller for this baby yesterday. It has a big motor, so it will probably need that, running a 6volt battery. It will only get it 120W.
