This is great info, nevertheless, keep in mind that the “bad guys” can learn from such posts to make better fakes (warranty cards). Therefore , I’m not sure whether sharing such info in public forum does more good or harm

Max, I totally agree with your view - - - - and I posted a similar "UV Light "ROLEX printing" notes test " quite a while back, both here and at WUS, if I remember correctly.

At that time no fuss was ever made about giving undo info to "counterfeiters", etc.

I guess it just depends upon who sees and responds. Some things draw attention and some do not.

But the UV "ROLEX" notes are VERY VALUABLE to ID a card if you are in a questionable situation.

How could anyone be offended by that sort of info? Even my AD and his sales associate did not know of the UV printing, and they have run their shop for many decades.

Thanks for your post. I for one appreciate all the EDUCATION I can obtain here. (And YES, other posters, all the fakers out there truly do know all the tricks; there is nothing we can do to assist them in their endeavors.)

OP - I for me appreciate it. I have always wondered how to ensure if the warranty card is authentic. I rather know than not.

It will not surprise me if the counterfeiters have already figured this out. This game between manufacturers and counterfeiter will go on forever.

The more educated the consumers are, there is a good chance one in many will not fall victim to some non scrupulous seller.

Ordered a UV flashlight from Amazon... It will be fun exercise to find all my warranty cards and check them out. Most of my Rolex watches are bought from the AD, but there are couple that I do want to check out.

Thanks for the post!! The more info, the better off we all are. Its also refreshing to see a post of value other than FSOT or something like “Dick size vs wrist size, LETS SEE EM”

Not true - this material has been known by all replica makers for more than 3 years. Those who wanted to implement some of the features in their fake cards did so years ago.

Keeping such matters secret only helps those fakers pull the wool over uninformed buyers. OP is helping keep new members from falling prey to this issue.

Well said! Excellent comparison.

We are all learning all the time, even members who've been here years.

Nobody knows everything.

If I can pass on a little knowledge then I'm only too glad to help

This is helpful - keeping information out in the open hopefully helps others from being defrauded.

I find your thread informative OP, thank you. I also don’t understand why any TRF member would be perturbed by this excellent research and analysis. Not only is it excellent, it deserves a sticky.

Yeah, that looks neat and all, but I'd still have a watchmaker crack the watch open and confirm as well as make sure it's not stolen.

This is amazing. Never looked twice to my card other than as a card.
The details and thoughts that went into the card is amazing.

Thanks for informing the community and great post!
