Good! I’ve bought straps and bracelets for other watches that looked great but I could not get them comfortable. I’d stop wearing the watch, then I’d put it back on the original bracelet and love it again. Give it a week then give us an update. The fit you get with the link change could be all you needed hopefully.

A 5 digit or vintage GMT might fit the bill if you are wedded to a GMT.

Put some wrist weights on when you are at home. After a few weeks, your watch will feel like feather weight.

We talking bout the SS version? I am as puzzled about how we talking about this as Allen Iverson was talking about practice.

On a serious note: if this is too heavy, sell it while the getting is good. Find something else.

Kinda this. Even the SS Rolexes (on bracelets) are pretty substantial compared to many watches out there. I don't think my sub is heavy but the weight is about the first thing people comment on when they hold it.

Over a year later, the 126710 GMT is still... heavy. Any advice?

Over a year later, I have not. It's heavy.

Does anyone have advice? There aren't many muscles around the wrist- and I question whether the forearm muscles will help much. A friend of mine suggested that further working out one's biceps might surprisingly help, as it's those muscles that help lift the entirety of the arm. Another friend suggested swapping the solid Jubilee link bracelet with an older bracelet that fits, perhaps an Oyster bracelet with hollow links (i.e., whatever bracelet was on the 16610, which might actually fit). I'd rather not part with the watch if I don't have to.

Thank you in advance!

Is this a serious post?

Edit: I apologize I see a later post of your sincerity and must remember we’re all different.

I have had carpal tunnel before with my wrist and even sore fingers from clicking a mouse.

I feel like this watch is almost too light on the jubilee. Put it on a nato. That’s the only way to cut down on the weight.

Maybe the problem isn’t the weight but placement on your wrist. Try wearing it above the wrist bone. That way the meatier part of your wrist is carrying the weight of the watch. I’m sure it will take time to get used to.

Yep- a few others here have deduced it might be the actual placement of the watch on the wrist not being optimal/correct. In a week I'll update whether placing one link on the other side actually did the trick.

A little "note" to the few with disparaging comments: this thread alone should show that I'm not the only one who's had nagging issues with his 6-digit case. A search through his very forum shows others have found them to be heavy too- or as another user here put it, "with greater wrist presence." If you never had this issue, great. There is an entire world that extends beyond your experiences, and maybe use the forum to learn just what those issues could be. You might even learn something from time to time.

Just putting it out there. Have you tried to wear it on your other wrist? Might feel weird, but you’ll get used to it. Worth a try.

Get a PM like the Day-date or a gold Sub; it'll redefine what 'heft' means to you.

Part of me thinks were getting trolled here - bicep workouts? I mean, come on!

If this is a genuine issue - maybe start with a basic strength training routine (doesn't have to be heavy weights, body weight will do fine) like squats, lunges, press ups and sit ups and build a bit of strength from there. This will also help you with large periods of inactivity like sitting at a desk all day.

If all else fails, buy a small G-shock and have done with it.

Yacht-Master. Slimmer case, curved lugs. Hugs the wrist more than 'Super' case.

OP41 also disappears on the wrist. Different look / dial:bezel proportions obvs.

Casio Illuminator. Pick your color, you'll never lock back. About $15 from Amazon. Except for lacking the "hey look at me, I wear a Rolex" effect, it does everything and more.

Wear an even heavier watch for a week or two (like a PM model if you have one) and then go back to the gmt, it will feel like you don’t even have it on. When I wore my sd43 or bluesy for a week and then switched to my sub, it felt very light.

Wear a DSSD (220gm) for a few months. Then, when you come back to the GMT, it will feel light as a feather.

Seriously though, I have never felt a more comfortable watch than the GMT. Thinking you just aren’t a watch guy. Maybe just try no watch or maybe a Bulgari Octo Finissimo

Here you go. Some pics to show how extreme it looks off the wrist vs the fit on the wrist.

Sell it and get a 5 digit reference. You won't look back.

I only wore my Marathon Navigator during lockdown (47gms!)
Then when things lifted wore Explorer II 216570 which then felt like a brick!
However once worn for a while it was forgotten.
Have you worn your watch daily for a month or so? Hopefully you’ll then become accustomed and it will become part of you.

Edit just saw message up from me - I can confirm you do need less links on inside. It’s all about centring watch (not clasp) I also wear slightly loose and it helps this too. There was a useful thread on here about strap adjustment

Lol work out just to wear a watch. Amazing stuff. Or you can accept that the watch is not for you and stop letting a watch own you and stop compromising on your comfort. If a jubilee gmt master is heavy to you, pretty sure you’ll be out of luck with most Rolex (39mm and above).

So look to the 5 digit (non tritium) references. I have said this many times there is no advantage to the added heft of the new bracelets and here is a classic example. It’s not about your strength it’s about the heft of the watch and it gets uncomfortable if you are pushing more than pencils wearing it. The 5 digit gmt will give you all the modern benefits including strong lume, with the added perk of less weight and far less bling-always a good thing in my book.

Like many others on this thread, I recommend a 16710. I have small wrists, and I don't like big watches, and I have sold many watches that felt uncomfortable at the end of the day.

However, with my 16710, it is so light and comfortable that I forget that I am wearing it throughout the entire day. I sleep with it on my wrists sometimes simply because I forget that it is on my wrist.
