It is my considered opinion that Rolex exists as it does today because it's what the people want.

Marine Lt. Gen. Victor Krulak was once asked why America needs a Marine Corps. His response was that America does not need a Marine Corps. America wants a Marine Corps.

Similarly, the world does not need Rolex. The world wants Rolex and Rolex has demonstrated the ability to deliver what the world wants.
Well said, buddy!!

..Hummm...

If Rolex spends One Million dollars a day, without income,
indeed, in 600 years they will be bankrupt.

Will Rolex ever go bankrupt?

Not likely, but the US government will always be there to bail them out just in case.

No, they will never go BR. But they may wake up to the new reality of a global recession in a most unpleasant way!

every single defense in rolex's behalf in this thread was used telling general motors could never go bankrupt back when it was the largest industrialized corporation in the world. don't say it can't happen because it certainly can.

Their sales will slow down if they kept those high price, because everyone will choose to hold on to their cash. But I don't think it will bankrupt.

The Wilsdorf Foundation is probably making enough in interest to keep producing watches for a very long time without selling anything...
