I would not be able to deprive myself of Sub and Daytona even for an excellence like Vacheron

I find the VC overstyled, too many Maltese crosses for me. I would keep what you've got.

So many Yes answers but more no’s than I thought. I think this may be a one time shot for me to pick it up, so I have to make it work. I have some time to think about what I wanna do, but this is definitely a grail type watch for me.

The Daytona has never really did it for me, but I can respect it due to its heritage. The no date function and not being able to tell the time at a quick glance bugs the hell out of me lol. I would love to keep it in my collection, but the easiest answer is to swap the two watches and not have to exchange much if any cash.

Maybe I’ll just sell the Bluesy and add cash so I can keep the Daytona. Either way, that Vacheron is a must to get in my collection.

Wow, what a tough call.

I'd say yeah, go for it. That VC is incredible. Especially as you have another couple of watches in the collection that differ a lot.

With what you've said about not being sure you'll even wear it any more, maybe selling the bluesy and fronting up the rest is a good option

I would not.
I love the VC and especially the strap change. But I’m not as in love with the bezel. If in a position to add, I would. But for a trade, my concern would be giving up the 116500 and then later regretting it.

I would do it. You're basically getting it for like 24,000.00 (at the 116500 and 126613LC MSRP).

VC in a heart beat, all 3 watches are excellent but you threw a bull in a dog fight with that question!

No, but I'm biased and prefer Rolex.

Personally I'd save up and add a DD40 for a full PM itch.

That VC is one of the most beautiful watches I have ever seen (I'm partial to blue dials). I would trade in a second.

Alright guys, I decided I’m keeping the watches and gonna bring on the Vacheron to join the collection. Now the waiting game starts…

I’d keep the ceramic Daytona and sell the one you have in the winder case that’s in the background shot.

I wish I had done that over the years.

I let an Explorer II, a YatchMaster, and a black DJ 41 stick dial go, not to mention a 1986 Omega Seamaster pre-Bond.

Would you

Great call, keep them all - they are all terrific. If I had to make a call on the original question, I would have sold the bluesy but kept the Daytona. My reasoning is that the ss Daytona is a special watch, and there is no substitute for having one.

Also, as a huge VC fan, I was happy to see the VC love on this thread! VC is next level finishing and quality and it has gone under appreciated for too long. Loving the revival of interest in VC these days! The VC Cornes de Vache in steel is incredible!

Yea I have a feeling I would have regretted selling the Daytona. The Bluesy would be easier to get back.

I’m also super excited to get the call for this reference. I’ve always admired Vacheron from the sideline, and excited to be able to have one of my own. Can’t wait to see the finishing in person!

If you love it and long for it go for it. Why not you only live once. It doesn’t matter what we think follow your heart.

100% yes! I own the 116500ln and a SS 4500v and the VC is way above Rolex in terms of finish and class.
