That is unfortunate. Both Patek and Tiffany now owe you big time. Such a QC lapse is unacceptable.

I can’t unsee it now. Even the wife sees it now that I’ve shown her. I’m hoping they will figure out how to make me happy. Cause I dropped 100k on this visit. Watch and diamonds.

:(

I could not live with that on a cheap watch, let alone on a Patek. I would be demanding a new watch.

My wife says I can’t send any more pics to our sales person. It’s 10pm.

Mistakes happen, but the crucial thing here is what Patek and Tiffany do to appease you.

I would leave it. Have a one-up on them and remind them constantly why you need a 5980/1R with Tiff stamp, but this time done right.

Honestly I noticed it as soon as you posted pics on here. You aren’t the first to get a crooked t stamp. Quality control is crap. I’m not even remotely shocked.

They are done by Henri Stern Watch Agency, not Tiffany

Yes looks like a sagging b0nr. But it's a Patek, what did you expect? It adds to the charm, I guess??

I know my sales person is a pitbull so I am sure she will try to make it right... I’m not all that worried to be honest. It’s

I don’t even use a loupe.

My other friends t stamp is not crooked but off.

What’s this thread teach everyone?... when buying a t-stamp, make sure the stamp is not off.

Yes I know, I was just amused as I said that in an IG post and Kelly said I was wrong. So pleased to see she is now giving the correct information

The problem is I don’t want them to open the watch up just to do the stamp...plus it probably goes in for like months.

This is really turning out to be the other type of t-stamp. U know the ones that sag with age

They would need to order a new dial to re-stamp, no? Then it probably go through pressure/water testing so yeah it will be gone for at least 1-2 months if not more. Shouldn't be too bad as you have 20 nautilus anyway to wear in meantime

Man, that mistake is so in-your-face it almost seems like a photoshopped April fools gag. Really lousy that this happened.

I also appreciate your concern about them opening up the watch and fixing it after the fact. That's kind of like being deflowered... no matter how well done the repair is, it doesn't come back exactly the same factory-pristine way, like a new car that gets in a minor fender-bender leaving the showroom - it's never quite showroom-fresh again.

Give 'em hell. This really begs restitution + major bonus for psychological trauma :-).

I googled but I have yet to find anyone write about this except me... great. Just my good Luck I guess... going to be recognized as the most obnoxious Patek t stamp owner.

A dial design of horizontal stripes makes it easy to spot. Given the 'T' goes past the top of one of the stripes makes it an open and shut case.

The annoyance of the wait will pass soon enough. If it was me, I'd try to get the process rolling ASAP so I'd stop thinking about it.

LOL, sorry but this is hilarious. One spends an absurd markup for a T&Co badge on the dial and they half assed throw it on there.
