It’s a hard choice. I got the Sub via AD this year. And the GTM one week later via grey. Both wear well on the wrist, perhaps the Sub a little better. I love the Sub, but gets a little boring sometimes. Never feel bored with the GMT. It’s all subjective. If I had to let one go, would be the Sub.

You are the only one that will live with your choice. Both are winners. The only reason I would consider the metorite is because of the mystery of it. ie where has it been and for how long. Then how long do you think the meteorite will be available? Then and finally looking at both, which one do you find yourself being drawn to, which one holds your gaze the longest? I would be inclined to pick that one. And if this is truly your only Rolex for the rest of your lfe??? Know that you picked the right one.

That sub is a much nicer looking watch. The meteorite dial makes the GMT look like a canal street fake.

As I’m not a fan of coloured bezels, neither really do it for me.

If really pushed though, it’s just got to be the GMT by far out of the two as it’s definitely the more interesting piece.

Of the two, I’d prefer to own the meteorite dial but I wouldn’t be comfortable wearing that all day every day. It’s pretty full on.

As you’re planning on wearing daily, I’d take the sub.

I prefer the GMT, all things being equal, but it’s a lot more money and would have to hear all about my choice from people who don’t understand. while I don’t let other peoples opinions affect my choices it still makes me uncomfortable.
I see. It sounds like the head is going for the sub, but the heart wants the GMT. In my experience, you have to either convince your head the GMT is worth the extra money, or convince your heart the sub is the more practical choice. So...good luck.

I'd go sub, gmt just not worth that much more imo, spend the saved money on a high horology brand dress watch maybe!

The GMT meteorite is far more valuable and rare so of course most people will pick it if faced with choice of those two.

That being said, I think most people would have trouble wearing it daily due to unwanted attention, fear of damage, and lets face it, its quite blingy for a daily watch!

I decided to go with the WG Mk1 black GMT instead of the meteorite so that I could actually wear it with less concern - which I do.

I respect the meteorite dial, but really don’t like how they look. Plus, they appear over the top with a bi-color bezel. Also, prefer the sub’s bezel function and smaller/cleaner font size. Sub all day for me, but ymmv.

Question: does the warranty card for the meteor GMT say that it is meteorite?

How do you know the watch was born with a meteor dial versus a blue dial?

Really have to see it in person to truly appreciate it. Lighting in pics don’t do it justice.

Having owned both I can say the WG sub all day everyday and twice on Sunday. The gmt not only is it really gaudy it’s very difficult to read the dial. The sub with the blue Bezel is versatile and the ultimate if you know you know piece. And you can get them for less than retail right now.

Honestly would go WG sub, if it were the blue dial GMT I’d have a tough time deciding

Both are awesome but I don't have the GMT but do have the sub. I love the sub, it is sublime and a great watch. Thin lugs, bigger than 40 mm and wider bracelet. I would love to add the Pepsi Meteorite but the price is ridiculous in the grey market. I am waiting to see if my AD will get me one.

Wg dilemma

I have/had both. This thread made me think about it, and I sold the wg sub and replaced it with a new 2022 15202st this week. So that’s that 🫢

white gold sub, no doubt IMHO.

I got to try on a buddy's a couple of weeks ago and I absolutely loved it.

My DD is a 14060M and has been since buying it new, but I loved the heft of the WG sub.

Oh man tough choice. Meteriote as I suspect they won’t be around much longer.

What about white gold blue dial Daytona? I’m hoping to get one soon; also love the meteriote Pepsi and WG sub

I don't like GMT watches at all, but definitely like that one! I've had the WG Sub and loved it, my biggest watch collecting regret is trading it. I don't see a 20G difference though; I'd take the sub and 20G any day if given that choice.
