I traded my WG Sub for my first Lange 1815 Flyback chronograph, and while I do not regret it, I miss that watch a ton. Loved the heft and the stealthy looks. My logic was it will be easier to get back grey at MSRP so a temporary parting! Go with the WG Sub!

Based on what you said in your original post, it sounds like you made the right choice going with the white gold Sub. Such a great watch. I’ve got it’s stainless steel counterpart (green bezel) so would probably not get the white gold just because I wouldn’t want two Subs, but man I know I would enjoy it! The heft on the wrist has got to feel great and the blue bezel looks excellent.

Congrats on your choice as well as the sale of your company!

You want a Bluesy for the Blue dial I think? So, if you go for the new Whitegold Sub 126619LB, you will not have a blue dial. Go for the 116619LB Smurf. Its gorgeous.

I vote bluesy. I coveted the wg sub for a couple of years, finally bought one and loved it for a bit. The weight, the colour, was awesome, and I love a blue dial. But a after awhile it just became less special somehow… it didn’t look different enough next to my ss rolex collection. I wore it less and eventually sold it. Now I have a bluesy, and absolutely love it. The sunburst dial is stunning in all conditions and i wear it way more than I wore the wg. However… a warning… now I’m starting to wish I would’ve have bought the solid gold sub and I have a feeling eventually this will find its way into my collection and I’m not sure if the bluesy will remain in that case.

You may want to give the yg sub another hard look if you are considering the bluesy. Just a suggestion. However, I do admit the bluesy is a stunning watch that can be worn anywhere, anytime whereas the yg is obviously a lot more flashy.

Cheers and enjoy the hunt!

Personally I prefer the aesthetics of the two tone + blue dial, but it will certainly stand out more than the white gold... so if that's a concern for you, I think you have your answer!

Bluesy all the way. I never liked the smurf flat dial, nor the new black dial/blue bezel wg sub. However, it might be because I cannot afford either - Bluesy was obtainable in 6 weeks for me earlier this year. I am biased obviously.

The Blue watch was my first Rolex. There was a billboard on the way to work with a big picture of the blue Rolex. It made a $7000 impression on me. I still have it, but have not worn it for years. Too gaudy. Go with the WG.

Find an original WG Smurf 116619LB, not the current WG Sub.

Based on your comments, I’d say go WG. If you find the full YG bluesy a little much, you likely won’t find the TT much less polarizing. In fact, it can be even more noticeable in certain lighting with the 2 different metals both casting their shiny tones.

Smurf would be my sub choice, but not sure I would mark a special occasion buying used or grey. So, I would probably go WG GMT with blue dial.

YG Blusey. I've handled it in the metal and its a swanky, yet everyday piece. Best of all worlds

I would go with the Bluesy, it just looks better with the blue dial. And lets be real, the WG isn’t stealth at all. The blue bezel and polished center links pop just as much as the Bluesy

Sorry but I have to disagree, I have owned many WG watches and never come across one that didn’t appear to be stainless steel and other than me knowing it was gold that was the only difference.
I have read so many posts over the years about the big difference in warmth and feel of WG over stainless steel but it’s all in the mind imo.
I would definitely go for a bluesy, gold is just gold when it’s yellow

Scary thoughts!!! I'm beginning to fancy an all gold Sub as well.

This next pic taken a few mins later…indoors of course. Dial almost looks black under certain conditions and angles! Very much in the honeymoon phase with this one!

I have all three (YG, WG & TT) and of the three the WG os BY FAR the most ‘stealth’.

Not a big fan of the blue and black of the new WG sub. Prefer older smurf, or bluesy.

This is nuts !

Trying to decide between Bluesy and WG sub - love both but decided on the WG and my AD said should get one in a year.

I’ve read and appreciated all the replies but the YG sub (never in the mix to start with) has been mentioned a few times now, dam………..

I have them both.

I have them both. And both are very different in lots of things. Color, weight, price etc.

For a good judgment you must see the watches yourself 😎

If it's the current generation, the two tone. If it's the previous generation, absolutely the white gold 116619LB.
