JJ, let's not forget that the Sub or TOG will do all 10 of your praises with the exception of the third time zone. But who needs more than two?

How can the Sub or TOG do even a second time zone?

I guess desk-bound is better than being rack-bound, uh?

Rack bound...I heard stretching is supposed to be good for you....unless you're a jubilee band!

Thought you'd never ask!

Any watch with a rotating bezel can tell time in a second time zone. For my example, I'll be wearing a Sub ND, without that unsightly cyclops.

Let’s say I visit London, which is GMT. I live in Los Angeles, which is GMT +8. When I get to London, I set my watch for London time and rotate the bezel so the arrow is pointing to the 8 o’clock position. I go out for the evening. I stumble back to the hotel at 12 midnight (London time) after pounding down numerous Guinnesses at my favorite pub…I’ll need to call my wife back in LA before bed. If I rotate my watch (not bezel) so the arrow (which is set at the 8 o’clock position) is at the top (12 o’clock position), the hour hand will read in the 4 o’clock position (4pm in LA), so I know to call her at the office rather than at home. Works even better in lume mode at 3am and half asleep!

It’s crude, but it works in a pinch. By the way, don’t pay attention the minute hand when rotating the watch!

I do have a formula that figures the day of the week for any given date, if you're interested. It can turn a humble Datejust into a Day/Date!
