Also a cyclist.....
This one was 360 miles in well under 2-days on a big, central Utah loop.
This was me at the end of 750 miles in 88 hours - I was sunburned and mentally & physically worn out: About 49 riders qualified - about 40 finished....excellent results. On the previous 1200-km event, only 12 of us, out of 25, finished that one. The weather was tough. We ride for trinkets - and the thrill of completing a grand randonee: I'll be crewing on RAAM this year and will certainly wear this: I can't think of a better watch to wear when supporting my rider who will attempt the US at 20 mph. Think of it as 300 miles a day for 10 days in a row!

It's as tough mentally as it is physically - that's where us old(er) riders have an advantage! We can gut out some of the worst conditions!

feel a bit envious. right now my sport should be skiing with my family and friends (my spine surgeon included). instead i have been lying on our floor with my notebook in my lap doing an infusion therapy and hoping that i don't need surgery with my hernia. this sucks.

Found the body in Cincinnati and the neck in Louisville almost 30 years ago. It's been my main player ever since. Some knucklehead contoured the front and back on the body but they did a good job and a friend finished for me. The neck has the original finish, the size of a baseball bat, with lots of miles on it. dP

I like pool. Preferably straight pool, but eight or nine ball is good too! I like this picture from the classic movie, "The Hustler"...Jackie Gleason did his own pool playing in the film. Great performance. I'd bet he owned a Rolex at some point! His opponent in the film, Paul Newman, certainly did! |

I'm doing fine, thank you for asking Dino!
Haven't seen you around much lately, I hope things are well on your side of the pond.

Lots of roadies here
Here's my caad10 and 16610. I threw in a pic of my 71 Pea Picker for good measure. Amazed how many lovers of 2 wheels we have here. Lots of great bikes and some awesome accomplishments! Congrats everyone.

I run often but not particularly well anymore. I generally travel with my running shoes and the GMT almost everywhere. At my age, I'm mostly a fan of the 5k runs with family and friends...more of a participation thing as I love a good beer and sausage right after.

Love your Caad10. I was thinking about adding one as a second bike to my SuperSix. I really love my Cannondale

Diving and running are two of my passions. My wife gave me a pair of customized running shoes with each of my children's birthdays embroidered, an extra incentive to keep me running.
The Pepsi is my birth year's, one of my very favorites. |
