Not that I am in a hurry but like to have one by the end of 2012. And now that I have seen MY job I am convinced. I just checked and the price for this job still is $ 850.00 Still some money but compared to a new OEM President of $ 10K . . . Thanks for the info. |

I sent Michael last Oct '11 my dad's 25 year old Day-Date which has been a daily wearer so needless to say, there was considerable stretch on the bracelet. We got it back mid Dec and it was like new! the links were nice and tight with no stretch whatsoever.
His price of $850 is very reasonable in my opinion compared to the replacement cost and his work is great. There is another outfit in Florida I heard about as well who repairs Jubilee style bracelets starting at $1500 but can't comment as to their quality of work since I have no experience with them.

I contacted the FL people a month or so ago but it costs a little more than $ 1500.00 I am afraid . . . .
"the cost to rebuild the band is 2200.00 and it takes about 8 weeks" was the answer I received . . . Maybe he sends them also to MY and invoices a little more . . . So MY isn't that expensive at all - hope he's not a member of TRF ;-) |

Great information and confirmation of the service and quality of work by Mr.
Young. The cool thing about this is I look at this as information as almost a "trade secret". Can you imagine the average owner of a Rolex President sending his band to China and sitting quietly until its' return. Don't think so! Thanks to everyone who took the time to post first-hand experiences and before and after photos Tom |

This is a great thread, I mean, $150 for a TT Jubilee is cheap, go out and try and buy one, I know, I've tried

I just received my email from Mr. Young last Saturday, April 14, 2011 that my TT 14k/SS jubilee bracelet restoration/tightening was finished and I should Paypal him the $150 for the restoration and $28 for FedEx international shipping of the bracelet to me.
I sent him the bracelet on December 28, 2011 and I never contacted him again. He sent me an e mail confirmation of reciept and infromed me that manpoer issues were such that the usual 8-10 week turn around time would not likely be met. I did not fret, whine or bitch about my bracelet, it's whereabouts or the estimated deliver date. I did not harass the man or sweat bullets over what was a stretched bracelet with very little utility value left in it. FYI...It took approx. 15 weeks to get the bracelet back. Please refer to my earlier posts and the "before" photos with other bracelets In the photos as reference points. I will post photos of the returned bracelet as soon as I receive it.

I recently posted to another thread regarding Michael's services. I just got a pretty much shot 9315 folded link oyster back from him yesterday. The results were off the charts - it looks NOS. The thing was pretty much trash before I sent it his way and I had debated on just giving away. The value of this service is amazing.

can anyone tell me if Mike Young can replace worn out rivets and missing pieces on 7206sub rivet bracelets? Or does he only work with what you have when restoring it?

Just got my TT jubilee bracelet(top) back from Michael Young. Here are before and after photos below. The top TT bracelet is the one received today. The middle SS jubilee is a brand new and unworn while the bottom TT bracelet is the first one I sent to Mr. Young that was so stretched out I was going to sell it for scrap.
Compare the top bracelet before and after..... Before: After:

The bracelets were both pretty much shot so any improvement was welcome. Here are before and after photos of the underside of the bracelet so see for yourself. Before: After:
