I ended up buy a box, tolls, etc for my PAM to have a complete set.

x2 Anyone would think these so called papers were the Magna Carta or Declaration of Independence instead of in most cases just a outdated warranty bit of paper/card.As for the box its a packaging box and not the best of those, now with the rare vintage Rolex watches then yes a full package could add value. But for modern day Rolex made in there millions the only time the warranty is important for me if its valid. Now after a RSC service you get a service card/paper with all the watch details on and that card acts like a full two year warranty just like the out dated ones.

I myself do not buy a modern Rolex without box and papers. Let's be honest, modern Rollies are almost an investment. So why not protect your investment by making it complete? Like others have said, it would also be easier to sell once you decide to...

i am in No way saying it is super important or Adds Value , BUT for ME i like to have the Box and Papers. it really is a personal choice - as a great man once said in the movie "Tommy Boy"......... the warranty "ON THE BOX" helps people sleep at night!! it is meaningless especially after the 2 year warranty is up , but for some reason it helps me feel as if i have a more complete collection!!!! i have 4 Current Models , all still under warranty and purchased either from my AD or one of the GREAT trusted sellers on the Forum and have box and papers for all of them , BUT that being said - i just was offered by a Business Associate a GREAT deal on a Pepsi GMT that was one of the last models made with the 3186 Movement. it has NO Box or NO Papers and because the deal is just perfect i am going to be purchasing it this friday when he brings it in to work!! paying 4K for this watch in PERFECT condition just seemed like to good of a deal to pass up considering what the GMT pepsi with the 3186 Movement sells for here on the forum even!! so should they be a deal breaker , ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!

Box and papers are nice, but are not deal breakers for me. The watch is what I am buying and if the watch is legit and the seller is legit - most important) then i would not pass up a deal on a pre-owned modern Rolex with no B&P. The warranty car becomes a hand pocket sized ice scraper once the two years is up. Boxes, real and fake abound on eBay and elsewhere.

If the watch is a good deal and the seller is legit I can do without B&P - especially if the price considers this.
