Last time I checked I love wearing whatever I want to wear so if it’s a FACTORY diamond PM Rolex then great…

I agree; I'd consider this a "fake" as well.

But if the OP likes it, that's all that matters!

Posted this a couple times on TRF. Can't stop wearing it. Never thought I'd own a dial with diamonds.

Two things to remember:

1. Not all Rolex owners hate diamonds.

2. TRF is not a representative sample of watch owners.

Diamond watches on men look great—as long as their name is Liberace.

Almost blinded me

Wow that watch is quite the collectors piece, I actually saw that once before in my travels in Washington, DC. I remember it like it was yesterday I walked into a and saw the owner casually wearing one, Id recommend it to anybody looking to pick up a high quality collectors piece.

It seems like OP has aftermarket diamonds, the one below is original from Rolex manufacturer.

Thanks my friend! Yes, it’s a 116505 and dial is new for 2021. Got the call from the AD three weeks ago.

Yes, OP admits he bought a regular black GMT that was affixed with bulk aftermarket diamonds to look like a real 116769TBR

I officially qualify as a senior citizen and I have no problem wearing a FACTORY diamond PM Rolex.
I would say it’s more about having a sense of comfort and confidence to wear whatever you want to wear.
Especially when it’s your money that paid for it.

I just can’t stand diamonds or any jewels on a watch worn by a man. I think they look great on a woman but they are way too feminine for my liking.

In general diamonds on Rolex are expensive. Like them on my Tudor, FWIW, Not particularly garish or expensive.

Maybe… or perhaps some people just don’t like diamonds on men’s watches. Just like some just don’t like TT, or turquoise dials, or pickles on their burgers.

I don't believe this forum represents a cross section of Rolex owners, nor reflects their preferences.

I don't hate diamonds...they just aren't my thing. I think some watches with diamonds look really good even though I probably would never buy them. Others look a bit tacky...
