I switched out the 114270 for the 116710 today. It's been a few weeks since I wore the BLNR and it's really good to get it back on the wrist.

I was pleased with this watch when I first picked it up from the AD and it just keeps growing on me. It's my favorite GMTIIc so far, but I've not seen the BLRO yet, so I have to reserve judgement for awhile.

I love my newest (the BLNR), but as you know...slowly thinking gold !
Luckely I am used to wear heavy and less heavy watches at this moment. Never been wearing full gold and if one comes in my collection, it won't be as a daily watch (Jobwise I just can't). The ADs here in Belgium will get the BLRO in November normally. I certainly will try it on!
I was being a bit dramatic but the weight difference was bigger than I expected esp as I only got the gold watches 2 months ago and because I don't think they are heavy they just feel normal now but I was suddenly reminded they are not! I am sure you can adjust and the lighter steel is def better as a daily watch for work so no problem to have both.

This has been getting the most wrist time for the past week. It's a Bremont Alt-1WT which has been modified slightly for the KC-135 Stratotanker. In this pic, it's about to be put to work!

Cool watch.

Could you elaborate on the modification a bit?

Sure! Normally, the date window sits at the 3:00 position, but Bremont moved it to 4:00 so that the numerals "135" are displayed (for the KC-135). The GMT hand bears the same color pattern as the boom which transfers fuel on the actual airplane. The winding rotor in the back is engraved to look similar to the fan section on one of our engines. There are several other subtle nods to the Tanker which would take too much space to describe here. A very well done piece!
