matter of opinion.
I'm 6'1" 300lbs with an 8.5" wrist and the Daytona looks like a peanut on my wrist. the blnr is the smallest watch I own. even though case dimensions are the same for the Daytona and GMT II, we all know which one wears bigger. |

so strikes me as funny you think it has a feminine look to it, I totally don't see that and never thought that, however it sure looks good on the ladies here is a pic of me and Ron Zitza, wearing his Daytona he was presented for winning the Rolex Daytona 24 hour endurance race, .......... just a couple of girls at the track! |

Thanks for sharing, Tom.
Tugboat and the Bushwackers. Boy does that bring me back to my childhood. I am in total agreement about 40mm watches working for most people. It is not a small size and to be honest, I personally think 36mm to 40mm is the optimal range in size for watches. I cannot understand the fasination with anything over 45mm.

It's all up to the individual
I too felt the Daytona looked small. After the AD told me that Caroline Wozniacki walked in wearing a Daytona all bets were off for me. |

Great thread Tom, great to see your son loving the new gift! BTW, don't bother with "The Submariner" guy. He also sabotages any thread about the DSSD, he claims every owner of the DSSD flips it quite quickly. I guess he thinks anything he buys is the right choice....oh well, I can say that you are turning me into a Daytona lover!

Does anyone think this looks small or is it just the 47 mm watches making it look that way?
I also would like someone's feedback on the 47mm panerai Thanks |

What a great pic!!!
Have to admit in this big v small watch and does it look good on my wrist thing...... One of the things I used to do is line up a bunch of different sizes watches to see what I liked Well trouble is as can be seen above the Daytona in a big watch line up never really fairs well and perspective is lost Then when I had the big watches (big for my was the DSSD AND YG YMII) and worn them they were great However.....you must actually own and wear the Daytona or any smaller watch to really appreciate its size and merits The Daytona on any wrist any day will always look great, IMHO No line ups, perspective is lost...... |

my wrist is 8" and not a mm less , a touch more after a trip to the buffet or a day of hard work outside in the heat ! ha ha and i will say that 40mm is IMHO the best size for a wristwatch . i do not think they look small on my wrist . this is a shot of my 40mm Sub 16610, my 39mm EXP II 16570 , my 40 mm GMT fat lady 16760 , and my 36mm exp I 114270 . and i'll throw in a shot of my 36 mm DJ 16030 on a NATO for some reason .
