Guys I’ll buy one just to make make sure what this doesn’t happen.
I am the guys that bought the SD4000 and just thought it was too thick, so sold it last year for £5000
To be fair I am in love with my SubC date so I can’t regret it, just a shame I didn’t have a crystal ball!

My AD told me two years ago that a price increase was inevitable, I've purchased 5 Rolex's since then and still no price increase.

I've been after this watch for a while now and living in ND not a lot of options to source one.

I've called numerous AD's with no luck. Today I spoke with a sales associate that said there were currently 4 people on their wait list but no one had put a down payment on it and if I did so I'd be moved to the top of the list.

I did just that and now the wait begins.

Partly true, yes. But when you call an AD about a particular model, and are told there is neither one in stock nor do they know if they will receive any more this calendar year, are we to presume they are lying?

Well, if someone posts it on TRF, it must be true!

So...the LV will be discontinued...

I heard there will NEVER be a SS skydweller...

I also heard the SD is going to have a gloss dial.

I also heard there is a 25% price increase soon...

And while we're at it, lets say that they are discontinuing the date-just too! Buy them NOW!

That's a definite possibility. Other thought is that Rolex will not raise the price and eat the difference in cost as they may not want to raise prices due to Swiss watch sales dropping significantly over the past few years. At this point no one knows except Rolex themselves. Time will tell.

Not many Hulks at all here in FS section. Only a couple used and priced higher than new, wow!

I've had mine for approximately 5 hours now. Absolutely love it!
Can't post pics tho as it wants me to resize it etc and I can't be arsed to do so.

If you use Apple devices. Take app named Image Size. It is free and makes resizing very easy. Use maybe 800x600 and it is almost automated

Rolex discontinues models when sales of particular model increases. Rolex also probibits sales of those high sales models before discontinuing them. That is the magic how they prevent watches being sold.

How do you substantiate these statements? The only people who really know how Rolex operates are those who are in the inner circle.

I so wanted to buy it. Called my AD, they had one in stock. Saw it, tried it on. I love green in cars, clothes, fences, grass, trees, meadows, you name it. But this vivid metallic green dial and milky green bezel? I don't know why, it wasn't for me. I can't see myself buying a watch solely as an investment. I need to like it too.

I'd be willing to try the next Hulk with the 3235 movement, a darker bezel and dial (under the sunlight) and perhaps thinner lugs and slightly larger case (41.5 or 42). Am I asking too much?

I'm new to the forum, and have been trying to figure out my first Rolex purchase. It's between a the Hulk or a GMTc LN. I think I have now been persuaded to buy the Hulk.

I heard that rumor too, it seems like Rolex wants to make in gold all the ‘colored’ ceramic bezel like shark and Pepsi, now this hulk then the Batman. Somebody told me that they destroy almost 8 ‘colored’ ceramic bezels before they attempt the right one. It’s about 8k vs 30k retail price

If you bought 4 bnib and put them in a safe for 2 years and made 6k each that's 24k on a 34k investment, I would say that's an incredible ROI. That's why we see the shortage and demand... cut the profit to 3k each and that's also a great return.

and if you made 10k on each, that would be 40K and if you made 30k on each, that would be 120k...y'know, if we're just going to be pulling numbers out of our backsides....

I assume you will be liquidating all your assets to sow money into this unfallable money making machine, then...?

My AD had both batman and hulk in stock. Had to make a choice and bought the batman :). I have to agree the green was just a bit too much for me. It is a beauty though!

Good luck with that. I'd prefer other investents.

I prefer the LN for myself, but the LV is a beautiful watch nonetheless and it's probably more beautiful for those who are not green/red color-impaired as I am.
