Maybe a better question is do you actually own your car or your watch?

My work car, Oh heck yes. I picked it up a few weeks ago for 3K. 2002 Lincoln Town Car w/117,000 on the odometer. It'll haul me from the desert to L.A. for a couple years and then sold and a like beater gotten to replace it.

My weekend vehicles, Oh heck no.

Watch is a SS Daytona

I guess the question can be asked about either with the cost of things today, but at the end of the day they are your possessions if only temporary or still paying for them

Agreed. Just don’t like seeing so much debt these days....it’s so rampant in the states mostly for the wrong reasons. Most people would rather drive a nice car that loses value by the day versus put money toward the future. Credit can be a catch 22. And trust, I spend as much as I save but there has to be some organization behind it imo. Also you need to enjoy your time on this earth and if that’s being in debt while the wind blows through your hair then so be it. I fear the opposite, a fat bank account for my 70 yr old self that gets used on bandages and nurses 🤦🏽*♂️.

Fortunately for me my debt is only due to a roof and new wheels for my wife and baby. Very minimal by today’s standards. All my crap was paid off years ago.

Maybe so

If you add up all of my "high end" watches Rolex,Tudor,Omega and IWC are worth more than my 06 Mustang GT or 07 Toyota Highlander

I paid next to nothing for the runner and the mustang value dropped like an anvil! Watches win.

Is your watch worth more than your daily driver

Depends on what I call Daily drive. My 98 Ford 4x4 at the farm big yes. Our 8400 tractor not if I had 20 rolexes. My 16 GMC Sierra no and if I count the 82’ Viking I Run the owner could buy the Bao Dai and still buy a mansion I’d live in forever. But hey one can dream!!!

No. As I said before cars are shared with the wife and watches are just mine so I can't do that unless I want to beg for sex.

ive got 2 motorbikes and a 2005 s class mercedes(1 bike in malaysia and the merc and i triumph speed triple in australia) .... yeah i think my watches well and truly exceed the value of my transportation lol

If we are talking daily for now its my hyosung i bought to use in Malaysia cost $1800 usd on the road with insurance so it equates to the cost of a service on 2 watches lol!!!

Sorry. Took this pic the other day. Love the paint I’m this light.

My daily is def more expensive than my watch. All of them combined. But I don’t care about the cost, per say. It’s the sound of the exhaust that makes me smile every damned day.

My wife's car is nicer than mine. I have the very definition of a beater. 220K on the odometer and a LOT of wear.

Yes, my watch is worth more than my car.

My wife's is the silver 2017 Elantra. Mine is the red 2003.

My car is basic transportation. I enjoy watches more than cars.

Is your watch worth more than your daily driver

I think my watches and cars are equally worth?

2015 Audi Q5, 2015 Lincoln MKC, 2017 Acura TLX and 2017 BMW X3. My wife and I alternate using them so it’s not just mine alone.

My current Rolex watches are:
Sub C date, datejust jubilee fluted, TT blue subC, datejust TT turnograph, BLNR, Daytona black and white ceramic. I also own breitling, omega and hublot.

I think I like quantity more than “quality” per se. Like, if we didn’t have as many cars I could probably be driving a Range Rover or Tesla but I chose to have more than one option. Same with watches, I could probably get the platona but want to have something to alternate with.

yep, I drive a 2003 Grand Marquis I paid $500 for, before that, a 1998 riviera I paid $800 for, and before that a 95 tahoe I got for free. someone will always have a nicer car, and a nicer watch, so I buy what I like and save money in the long run. I paid for my car and 6 months insurance for what some of my friends pay for full coverage and their car payment monthly. If I could afford an impressive car, it might be a different story, but my beaters get me point a-b, always have been cheap to maintain, and i'll probably get another 50-100,000 miles out of my Grand Marquis. I have already put 15,000 problem free miles on it in the past 7 months so as far as im concerned it's more than paid for itself.

Daily driver is a 2011 Ford Taurus SHO. When new, it was worth more than the watches, now not so much. 90,000 miles, never hit and still going strong.
