You want to give a salesman a gift to sell you something? I wouldn't call it a bribe, I would call it nonsense.

I've bought chocolates for the staff from Ireland for X-mas (I'm there all the time for work) and a card. I've worked with the same 2 staff (manager and assistant manager) my whole time dealing with the AD... and it was a true thank you and not trying to move up. Of anything I've ever purchased from them I've only had to wait for 2 things. 1 a SubC only because they had to ship it from one location to my prefered location, and 2 a white DaytonaC that I waited ~ 3 months for. What's better than trying to buy gifts to get what you want, is really to build a better relationship with your AD.

Give him your first born, that should move you to the top of the list......at least at the local police precinct.

I take care of the service manager at the car dealership or the general manager of my club....Tickets to a sporting event once in a while or a restaurant gift card does wonders.
