Leave it at home.

Bring a laptop, loaded with Photoshop.

Then post pics here of your PM watch on the beach in Cabo.

Your watch will be fine. After its taken from you, it will find a good home on someone else's wrist.

Just got back from Cabo, I didn't haven't any issues out and about wearing my Rolex. My buddy also wore his BLNR all week, no issues.

Lot's of high end watches on wrist's down there.

Not sure I would even visit Cancun anymore. Crime in all of Mexico is bad. Plenty of other safe tropical places to visit. Had my honeymoon in Barbados. Never felt threatened there and wore a TTSub. Certain unmentionables are not allowed on the island

Use it to pay the ransom on your family. I’m just kidding, I’ve never had any issues in Mexico. The question is, “ What do YOU think about wearing it in Mexico?” If you’re apprehensive, that will show and THAT will put you in danger, not the watch itself.

Why chance it? You’ll be looking over your shoulder every time someone gets near you.

I have worn my GMT IIc LN and z-blue Milgauss to Mexico City multiple times on business trips. No issues at all. However, I have never stayed late by myself ever and have always been with local office staff.

Use your judgement and don’t stress by taking an expensive watch that you will worry about al the time. Enjoy your vacation stress free.

My wife is adamant about not taking any of my Rolex watches to Mexico when we are there on vacation at any of the resort destinations. Her simple explanation is that I am unnecessary putting her and the kids in harms way. Why do It?

While at Aria in Vegas recently, I had no problem wearing my 16710 around. Once I ventured with friends to areas outside the casino like Downtown Vegas, it stayed in the safe. When I go to places like
Disney, I usually wear something cheaper than a Rolex or a model that doesn’t bling and scream “Rolex around my wrist”.
When I go overseas, the Rolex stays home.

Sometimes, it's not worth taking the chance.
Disney is the MOST dangerous.
Some guy might slip you a MICKEY.

Seriously I wouldn’t take it to Mexico, hell I wouldn’t go to Mexico if I could avoid it.

That's what I have the Sub for. Flies under the radar and perfect for the beach or the pool. If I were you I would probably leave it at home and wear a less expensive watch.

I go to Mexico every weekend. I understand that flaunting any expensive anything and walking around unaware will get you in trouble. In Mexico and many other places around the world. However, if you stick to your resort and resort tours you are good. I am in Mexico as I type and currently have my GS SBGE245 on my wrist as it happens to be in rotation. I have brought every watch in my collection at one point or another. Including my DD YG Black Dial with Diamonds. I have yet to have any issues, thank God. That said I stay alert when out of my condo resort, I drive myself and go to known safe areas...

I don’t bring mine to Cabo. I don’t need a reason to be profiled.

I know the cardinal rule if I have to be concerned or preoccupied then it is not worth risk or worries.. that being understood the reason we have these watches is the great memories we have with them hence the post.. First off, Cabo is awesome! Went for a bachelor party but would definitely go with family as well. The town is great, lot of food options! During the day you are fine to wear your watch into town, but personally I just wouldn’t. At night (like 3am), we still felt safe walking from Mandala to our hotel but common sense, I would never wear an expensive watch in that situation... My watch just sat in hotel safe the entire trip - should have just left it home.

I recommend the same to you.

That’s ridiculous, as long as you’re not a kid attending elementary school, or an adult going to a gay bar, or attending an outdoor country music concert, you’ll be safe from (most) mass shootings here in the USA!

Think what you folks want, and I mean no offence, but I'm not alone in my impression of the USA. In 2016 alone the US had over 17,000 murders. By contrast, 4,424 soldiers where killed in Iraq - a literal war zone - over a period of SEVEN years.

Forget assaults and other violet crimes in the USA.

The United States represents about 4.4 percent of the world's population, it houses around 22 percent of the world's prisoners

Like the stigma or not, as an outsider, you have a very, very violent and scary country.
